Belli Challenge #91 and a Birthday Card

A new Belli challenge was posted last week and today I am posting the card I made for that challenge. This challenge was to create a card and use a hole punch on it. This first card is the one I created for the challenge, I used a hole punch, making 3 holes and then put brads in them. I also used a punch at the bottom of the strip that holds those brads. I used a scalloped EKSuccess punch to create a little bit of 'frill' on this card. I'm really enjoying these challenges.

This second card I made for my "#2 Son" for his birthday. Brian has been my sons best friend for years. They met in 3 yo nursery school and have been friends ever since, as his Mom and I have. His birthday was on the 19th, he turned 18, which means that Jaryd will be 18 pretty soon too. They grow up too fast.

This card I made using a technique I saw recently on a blog, unfortunatly I don't remember whose blog it was. What you do is find coordinating papers and cut them into triangles, then adhere them to a piece of paper so they meet in the middle. Then cut the excess off and you have a nice paper for the front of a card. You can also do this with larger pieces to create a unique page for a scrapbook. I put my Corner Chomper to use again to round the corners of the piece in the center of the card and to mimic the curve on two corners of the card. I hope Brian likes his card.

Thanks for checking out my blog and what is going on in my papercrafting world.
