Mommy & Marie and July 4th

Hello and welcome!
Today I have a very simple layout to show you.
These are pictures of my granddaughter with
Sara, my daughter in law and Kelsie, my daughter.
I love the smiles in the pictures with Mommy,
I think they show the love they have between them.
The wonder in the ones with Auntie Kelsie was captured at
a 4th of July celebration with fireworks.

Thanks for visiting today,
I hope you'll come again soon.
Until then,
see the wonder around you.

Little Bills Fan

Hi everyone!
I know it's not football season right now,
but it will be here before we know it.
Today I have a layout of our littlest Bills fan
to show you.
Is he just too darn cute or what?
Living in the Buffalo, NY area, we are all
big Bills fans and we start 'em early.
These are pictures of my grandson,
he gets dressed in Bills clothes for all
the games and he'll be singing the
Shout song before long.
I used my Silhouette to design and cut out
the Bills logo as well as the words on
the layout.
Thanks for stopping by today,
come again soon.
Until then,
Go Bills!

Use Your Colored Pages

Welcome!
Do you ever wonder what to do with those pages from
adult coloring books that you've finished?
This is one from a pad that I colored.
The design was done in gold and I simply colored the rest.
Simply cut the design to the size you want and
add it to a card base.  For mine, I layered it
with a coordinating mat.
Here you can see how the gold shows.
It's really very pretty.
If you have a page you'd like to use,
cut it up, use it on cards, on a scrapbook page,
in a junk journal, or even make an envelope from it.
Don't let those colored pages go to waste,
pull them out and use them.
I hope you've been inspired in some way today,
I'm glad you stopped by for a visit.
Come again soon,
until then,
color something.

Embossing 2 ways

Hello and welcome!
Today I have a couple cards to show you.
They were both made with the same embossing folder
using 2 different techniques.
This first one, I simply embossed a piece of
white card stock with the embossing folder,
added a little bird that I cut out free hand
and layered it onto black card stock.
Then added it to a white card base.
Very clean and simple.
For this second card, I used the same folder.
I inked up the raised side of the folder and
ran it through my Cuttlebug with white card stock.
By inking up the raised design, you get a letterpress look
with the ink going into the embossed areas.
If you want the background to be colored and the impression
white, do the opposite and ink up the smooth side
where there is an impression in the folder.
I again made this a very clean and simple card.
I do love experimenting with embossing folders
and different inks and colors.  Sometimes to get a subtle
look you need to run it through with one piece of card stock
then again with another piece without reinking the folder.
Play with it and see what you can come up with.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you have been inspired in some way.
Come again soon,
until then,
play with ink.

being 6 full books and I'm pretty sure Kelsie and Brad's

Marie Layouts

Hello crafty people!
I hope you have something that is putting a smile on your
face today.
These layouts that I'm sharing with you today
are doing just that for me.
These pictures were taken my by #2 daughter,
Amanda.  She's Kelsie's best friend.
I think she does a beautiful job with photography.
We got Marie a "princess castle" for the back yard
and she was so thrilled with it.
Some pictures of Marie that are just too cute to not
scrapbook.  I love that one with the pink eyebrows.
When she has her face painted or plays make up with
Auntie Kelsie, she never wants to clean off her
eyebrows.  She's just too funny and
just so darn cute!

Thanks for stopping in today.
I hope something here put a smile on your face.
Come again soon,
until then,
spread smiles!

Bread Art

Welcome!
Today I have something a little different to share.
I've found that I love baking bread and have
really gotten into it recently.
I have discovered what I'm going to call
bread art and I'm enjoying it.
Here is my bread all nice and risen in my
benneton.
Once it had risen I shaped my loaves.
On large round loaf,
and a few small ones.
Using a sharp knife I cut designs into the
risen bread before putting into the oven
for it's final bake.
Here is the final result.
This was my first try at putting a design into
my bread, so I only did something very simple.
No matter the design, it was very tasty bread.
Here is my second try.
I bought a "hand crafting bread knife"
and tried it out with these 2 loaves.
The knife is simply a handle that a razor blade
fits into.
I will definitely give some fancier designs a
try as I learn more about this craft.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have been
inspired in some way today.
I hope you will come again soon,
until then,
bake something just for the fun of it.

Asher Layouts

Hi y'all!
Thanks for stopping by today.
I have a few layouts that I recently put together of my
grandson, Asher.
He's getting pretty close to a year old, so you can see
I'm a little behind in my scrapbooking.  At least I've
gotten a bit done though.
I love this layout of Asher with Sara.
It's very tough for me to leave "white space" on
my layouts, but sometimes, a picture just needs it's own
simple page.
This one is of Asher visiting with family and friends.
Marie loves her baby brother, which is
evident in these pictures.
"Every girl's crazy bout a sharp dressed man"
Isn't he just the most handsome little man?

I'm so glad you stopped by today and I hope you
have enjoyed your time here and will come again soon.
Until then,
love a baby!
