My Other Pages

To make it easier to read about our trip to Ireland, I have made a page that is just for that. There is a tab above for Ireland Trip 2014 or click on the Home tab to read my other posts. I have also created a new page for My Weight Loss Journey if you are interested in that, click on the tab above.

Arts & Crafts

Good day!
Today I'm sharing a layout that I created of my
Granddaughter and her love for  "Arts & Crafts"
When I ask her what she wants to do, she often says
"G-Ma can I do arts and crafts"
you never know what we'll get up to, but it's
always fun.
I love the picture of her flower painting on the right hand
page.  Click on the picture to enlarge it and
you can read the little story about it.
She was so confident when she finished it and
it was just perfect.
We had so much fun with all of these little projects.
I had to include a couple minions too,
so I created them with my
Silhouette Studio Designer program and cut them
on my Silhouette Cameo.
The caterpillar was a real simple one to make,
it's just circles welded together and cut on my
Silhouette.  You could easily just punch circles and
glue them together if you don't have a Silhouette or other
cutter.
I had a lot of fun making this layout and hope you
enjoy seeing it too.

Thanks for stopping by to see what I've been up to.
Come again soon.
Until then,
get crafty with a kid.

Baby #2

Hi everyone!
Finally got around to scrapping about #2 grandbaby.
The picture in the upper left corner is how
Jaryd and Sara announced that they were having
#2.  I made the onesie for the announcement and we
set it up in my kitchen.
The rest of the pictures are, obviously, the sonograms
of Asher.
These are pictures my daughter, Kelsie, took for their
maternity shoot.
I can't decide which order I like this layout in.
I think the second, guess I'll decide when I finally
put them into a scrapbook.
One more layout from the maternity shoot.
Everyone was so excited to have a little guy come
into the family.
Asher was born on June 24, 2022

Thanks for joining me today here at Kristie Kreates,
I hope you'll come again soon.
Until then,
be happy!

Pumpkin Hunt 2021 & 2022

Hello Everyone!
I've had some time to do some scrapbooking lately and
I thought I'd show you a couple layouts that I created.
Every year since my daughter was born, almost 33 yrs ago,
we have gone on a pumpkin hunt. We go to a specific
fruit and veggie stand and find all the pumpkins we want,
then we go to lunch or dinner together.
Here are a couple layouts from the last couple
pumpkin hunts.
As you can see, I'm a little behind on my scrapbooking.
I did my 2021 and 2022 layouts at the same time.
The 2021 hunt was special since we found out that day
that we were going to be grandparents again.
Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures to depict that.
The whole family couldn't come for this pumpkin hunt,
but there was someone from each family unit there to
choose the pumpkins.  The rest of them participated in
the carving of the pumpkins.
My son, Jaryd, was being crazy that day and his apple
was in almost every picture.
We always have a lot of fun when we do our pumpkin hunt
and we plan to continue it until I'm old and feeble.  LOL,
then they will do it on their own.  We used to do this with my
Mom and she went every year, even when she couldn't get out
of the car to walk around.  Family time is always precious.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you'll come again soon.
I have more layouts to show you so I'll be posting them soon.
Until then,
scrap on!

Valentine Cards 2023

Happy Valentine's Day!
Today I'm showing you the cards I made for my grandchildren
for Valentine's Day this year.
This one was made for Marie.  She loves pretty things and her
favorite color is pink, so I thought it was perfect for her.
The wreath was cut with a
from silver metallic card stock.
For the heart I used vellum that I had colored with
areas where the ink was still damp.
The vellum was adhered to card stock to give it
more stability and punched with a
The I Love You was heat embossed with
silver embossing powder with a stamp from my stash.
The card still needed something more, so I cut thin
strips of the metallic silver card stock and adhered them
to the sides of the card and that finished it off perfectly.
Inside I stamped and embossed a simple greeting and a
couple XOs.
For Asher, I made this cute kitty card.
The stamps were from an old set that is in my stash,
but I'm not sure what company.
I stamped, colored and fussy cut the cat.
The heart was punched from plain white card stock, stamped
with the sentiment and XOs and I added dash lines to finish
off the heart and the card front both.
I think this is Purr-fect for Asher.
As with Marie's card, I stamped a simple greeting inside.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you are having a lovely Valentines Day with those
 you love.
Come again soon,
until then,
Love On!

Love You Valentine Cards

Happy Valentine's Day!
Valentine's day is only a few days away,
so here are my last Valentine cards that I have to show you.
For both of these cards, I used inked background pieces
from my stash to die cut the hearts.
I used a silver metallic card stock for the
background on this one.
For this card I used a simple card stock background and
used dash lines to accent the heart and edges of the card.
I die cut the "love you"  and adhered it to vellum and fussy cut the
"shadow" on the first card, this second card, I die cut the
sentiment from gold vellum.
Inside, as with all my Valentine cards,
I used a
for the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by,
I hope you will come again soon.
You never know what you will find here at
Kristie Kreates.
Until we meet again,
have a happy Valentine's Day and
eat some chocolate.

Be My Valentine Card

Welcome!
Valentine's Day isn't far off, I hope you have started
your Valentine cards.  Here is one that I made and
wanted to share with y'all.
I made the background by inking with a stencil I
made, onto card stock.  Once all the circles were
on the card, I put more ink lightly over the entire front
of the card.
I punched out some hearts from silver card stock,
with a little heart punch
and adhered them to the front of the card
along with the
Be my Valentine sentiment.
This sentiment is from my stash and I don't have a
clue where it came from.
Inside I stamped
Happy Valentine's Day

Thanks for stopping by today,
come again soon.
Until then
make some cards.

You Are My Sunshine Valentine Card

Hello y'all!
Today I have another Valentine's Card to show you.
The back ground is a piece of alcohol inked
glossy card stock from my stash.
I die cut a heart and off set it to the right to give a
little more interest to the card.
I stamped the sentiment and drew my dash lines and
all that was left was to adhere it all to a white card base,
and of course, stamp a sentiment inside.
The Happy Valentine's Day inside was stamped with
I love this stamp set, it is quite large, but it works for me.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you will stop again to see what I'm up to.
Until then,
use your stash!
