Valentine Cards 2023

Happy Valentine's Day!
Today I'm showing you the cards I made for my grandchildren
for Valentine's Day this year.
This one was made for Marie.  She loves pretty things and her
favorite color is pink, so I thought it was perfect for her.
The wreath was cut with a
from silver metallic card stock.
For the heart I used vellum that I had colored with
areas where the ink was still damp.
The vellum was adhered to card stock to give it
more stability and punched with a
The I Love You was heat embossed with
silver embossing powder with a stamp from my stash.
The card still needed something more, so I cut thin
strips of the metallic silver card stock and adhered them
to the sides of the card and that finished it off perfectly.
Inside I stamped and embossed a simple greeting and a
couple XOs.
For Asher, I made this cute kitty card.
The stamps were from an old set that is in my stash,
but I'm not sure what company.
I stamped, colored and fussy cut the cat.
The heart was punched from plain white card stock, stamped
with the sentiment and XOs and I added dash lines to finish
off the heart and the card front both.
I think this is Purr-fect for Asher.
As with Marie's card, I stamped a simple greeting inside.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you are having a lovely Valentines Day with those
 you love.
Come again soon,
until then,
Love On!

Kelsie and Jason, Holiday Party and Valentines Day

Hello!
Today I have more layouts in my
"Kelsie and Jason series"
Kelsie and Jason work for the same company,
but in different departments, so the holiday party
was all in one.
The thing is that the holiday party wasn't held until
just before Valentine's day.
Kelsie and Jason with some of their work friends.
Kelsie and Jason together.
They had a wonderful time.
This layout is about their Valentine's daycelebrations.
It was their first together and Jason went all out
to make it a special one for Kelsie.
He brought her a heart shaped pizza, then brought out
a big teddy bear with candy.  This guy keeps her company
when Jason isn't around.
Then he really surprised her with a beautiful bracelet.
I have to print a picture of it and add it to the layout.
Here is the beautiful bracelet that he gave her.
Then he surprised her again, he had made reservations
at the hotel where the work party was being held,
so they would be able to have a good time and not worry about
driving all the way home after the party.
Then to top it all off he sent her flowers at work
on Valentine's day and took her out to dinner on their
dinner break.
Does she have a great boyfriend or what?!?!

Thanks for stopping in today,
I hope you've enjoyed my layouts and
are in some way inspired by them.
Until next time,
Enjoy Life!

Valentine Treat Boxes

Hi blog friends!
I hope your Valentine treated you well.
I had several people who received treats from
me this year.
Here is what I put them in.
I found the video tutorials for these on
one of my favorite blogs,
Sam is amazing and does lots of
videos showing little boxes, bags and
other projects. Love her blog!
Post for each box is linked below.
This is a 4 sided box
I used scrap paper pieces for all my boxes.
Here is a triangle box
I stamped the Swirl Heart and sentiment
and fussy cut them.
Hearts and senitments were adhered with foam tape.
Another 4 sided box
A 5 sided box which I figured the
pattern and dimensions myself.
And lastly another 6 sided box.
These boxes look like they'd be difficult
to make, but they are really quite easy.
Especially since Sam did all the figuring for us.
Be sure to go to Pootles and check out Sam's
blog, she really is quite wonderful.

I filled these little boxes with some
Valentine's Day goodies, but didn't give them
out until we are together a couple days after
the holiday.
I hope they liked them as much as I do.

Thanks for popping in to see what I've
been creating.
I'll be showing you what goodies I put into
these boxes in my next post.
Come back and check it out.
Until then,
go check out

Dangling Hearts

Hello all!

Do you realize that Valentine's Day is just a little over a month away?
Have you started you cards yet?  Do you usually make Valentine's?
Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't.
Today's card is made with
Love You (#10301) from QKR Stampede.

This image can easily be used as a Valentine or for any occasion when you just want to say I Love You!

The image comes in 3 parts.  I cut the 3 components apart and use them separately. The sentiment is stamped directly on the white card stock, the rag doll is stamped onto another piece of white card stock and colored with water color crayons.  The heart is stamped 3 times onto red card stock.

I fussy cut the doll and the hearts.
The doll is adhered with foam tape as well as the heart she is holding.  The others are adhered with glue dots.
I pierced each heart and the letters above with a paper piercer and used 'baker's twine' that I made to "hang" the hearts.

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you have enjoyed this card and will come back soon.
Now why not pop into the QKR Stampede shop and see what you can find to make your Valentine's Day cards with. Or for that matter any other cards, there are a lot of great images there.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
