This pink card is to go with Grace's gift. I used the same technique to make this background as I did with the flocked paper in the post below, but used glitter instead. And I really love this glitter. This glitter is from Cathie Filian who is the host of Creative Juice, she has a wonderful crafting blog, has published a couple books on crafting and done a lot of other cool stuff. If you follow the link to her blog and scroll down a bit, on the left hand side you will find a link to her Etsy shop where she sells the glitter. I happened to win the glitter I have and she sent me 7-8 different colors and the colors are so cool. The glitter is very fine and I love working with it. Yes, I know glitter gets everywhere. But it is sooooooo pretty, don't you think? And if you are careful it isn't so bad! Everyone needs a little bling on their skin, in their hair, on their clothes, right?
Anyway, back to the card. I used stamps that I picked up at Big Lots for $1.00. They are made by Hampton Arts. I stamped them, colored them and cut them out for the front of the card. I really like the way these acrylic stamps work with the Versafine ink. Wish I'd run into more of them at BL!
This second card is for a baby shower that I am going to this weekend. I know that the baby is a girl, but I just wanted to do something different than pink, so I chose the purple and yellow. I really like how it turned out. I used the same stamp set for this card, there are a lot of stamps in this set and they are the cutest darn things! On both cards the small stamped images are adhered with foam tape to give them demension.
A word of warning, don't try to adhere the foam tape to the glittered area, it just isn't gonna work. I learned that from experience!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
