I decided to see what would happen if I pulled on the wire on one side of the ribbon. WELL, let me tell you, it just gathered up and curled around into a flower shape. All I had to do was work the wire through the center and twist it with the wire on the other end. Now I had a flower. It needed something in the center, so I took a 'jewel' from the stash jar and used some Glossy Accents to adhere the jewel to a brad. Once it was dried, I put it through the center to finish off the flower.
I made the card from some brown card stock in my stash and a scrap of yellow from my scrap stash. I used a Martha Stewart corner punch and border punch for the edges of the yellow. Then adhered it to the brown and stamped 'good friend' onto the yellow.
I used white card stock and a border of yellow on the inside of the card to give a space to write.
I did try to make some flowers like this with other wired ribbon and it didn't work very well. Seems that it only wants to work with this very fine sheer ribbon. So guess what I did!?!?! I went to Joann's to see if there was any more on clearance. I did find one black and white ribbon that I think will work.
Thanks for stopping by, leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Oh very cool! I think I may need to take a trip to the craft store.
Neat!! I love trying things like that, but more often than not it doesn't work. LOL
What a fabulous find and flower making trick. I love these colors, TFS!
Oh, Kristie - that ribbon flower is just gorgeous! What a stunning card. Thanks for the info about Kristina's blog. I bookmarked the Christmas Card thread and will definitely return for inspiration.
This is gorgeous Kristie, love that brown organza. I much prefer the wired ribbons, they stay where you want them to stay!
big hugs
