My Other Pages

To make it easier to read about our trip to Ireland, I have made a page that is just for that. There is a tab above for Ireland Trip 2014 or click on the Home tab to read my other posts. I have also created a new page for My Weight Loss Journey if you are interested in that, click on the tab above.

Easter Eggs

Hello all you crafty people!
Easter is coming and in our family
we usually have an Easter Egg Hunt.
In the past we have used those little plastic eggs
and put numbers inside that correspond to a
prize.  The prize is inside a plastic cup that is covered
with tissue paper.  You have to "punch" through the
tissue paper to get your prize.  It could be anything
from candy to some nice squishy jello.
We have a lot of fun with it.
Sara said she'd love to have some reusable fabric
eggs and sent me a picture of them.
So of course, being me, I had to make some.
They were simple to put together and I used
some fabric that each of us had and scraps that others
from my Buy Nothing Group gave me.
I made my templates in 3 different sizes.
They can be made in any size you want and
we wanted them to be fairly small.
Here are some of them in the smallest size.
They open in the back to put a little treat inside,
or in our case, a number.
Here are more, you can see that any design of fabric
can work.  It just needs to be a light weight fabric.
All my fabrics were fabrics that would be
appropriate for quilting.
They turned out so cute and we can use them over
and over.
They can be used for any kind of goodies in an
Easter basket also.
Here is the video I used to learn how to make them.
I made my own pattern, but otherwise followed these instructions

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you'll be back again soon.
Until then,
have an egg-cellent day!

Fun Easter Egg Hunt

Hello everyone!
For the last few years my son and daughter in law
have hosted Easter dinner.  They started a tradition of
having an inside Easter egg hunt.
Everyone gets to participate in searching for
those little plastic eggs that can be filled.
They put numbers in the eggs
whatever number you find, is the number of the cup you
get.  You punch through the tissue paper on top to
get your prize.
You never know what you will find in the cup,
it could be a little tiny jar of Nutella
Or some magnetic clips
Or maybe a cute little pizza hand sanitizer.
Or the cup could be filled with shaving cream or whipped topping
or maybe even jello.
For our 2022 hunt, they took Marie, then 2.5 yrs old, and went shopping
at the Dollar Tree.  She picked some pretty interesting
prizes.
We always have a lot of fun when we play this and sometimes
it's hard to find all the eggs, as Jaryd and Sara forget where they hid them.
No matter who wins what, we have a great time
and I look forward to this year's hunt
Do you do Easter egg hunts with your family?
Maybe you'll want to give this a try and see how they
like it.

Thanks for stopping in today,
I hope you enjoyed your time here
and will come again soon.
Until then,
make some fun Easter plans.
