Today starts the
"Anything Goes" challenge on the

The pirate and balloons were all stamped onto white card stock, colored with water color crayons and fussy cut.

The sky background was done with a template that I got from my friend Roxie's blog  Paper Scaper

Roxie is very talented, so check out her blog.

You'll find the template link along the right hand side of her blog.

I used Distress inks to color the sky as well as the hill the pirate is standing on.

My great nephew just had his 5th birthday and his kids party had a pirate theme.  To stay with that theme, I made this card for him.

I think he'll like it.

Cute as a Bug!

It's time for another Eureka! Stamps Challenge.

This week the theme is Pregnancy/Baby

I chose to do a double page scrapbook layout

of my daughter when she was a baby. 

I used several different stamps from

Eureka! Stamps

for this project.

All images were colored with FlexMarkers

Many of the images are only a portion of the original image.

I just colored the parts I wanted and fussy cut them.

Here are the images I used.

but I used red rubber stamps for all of mine.

The Unicorn Song

"You'll see green alligators and long-necked geese,

some humpty backed camels and come chimpanzees.

Cats and rats and elephants, as sure as you're born.

But you're never gonna see no unicorn."

 

When I saw that the challenge for today on the

Eureka! Stamps Blog

was "Inspired by a song" 

I had no idea what I'd do.

Then I started looking through my Eureka! Stamps

 and saw the animals and right away

The Unicorn Song, by The Irish Rovers

came to mind.

I don't have those particular animals for my card, so I used

"Girl Balloon Holder" (#13803)

"Elephant Balloon" (#5205)

"Giraffe Balloon" (#5209)

"Zebra Balloon" (#8001)

"Parrot Balloon" (#23906)

 

There are LOTS of different balloons and holders

and one is just as cute as the next!

For this card, I did a lot of fussy cutting.

I stamped each image, colored it with FlexMarkers then fussy cut them.

The background was created using Distress Inks and a blending tool.

I used a bit of embroidery cotton for the balloon strings.

I hope my card has inspired you in some way, or maybe brought back a memory of The Unicorn Song, your childhood or maybe another song that you may use for our challenge.

Animal Balloons

Do you love animals? 

 I hope so, because today I have a birthday card I made with some of the animal balloons from Eureka! Stamps

On this card I used:

"Monkey Balloon" (#24101)

"Zebra Balloon" (#8001)

"Parrot Balloon" (#23906)

"Elephant Balloon" (#5205)

and

"Happy Birthday" (22803) from

QKR Stampede.

For the inked circles, I punched a circle from some scrap cardstock, I used the hole in the cardstock by placing it down and inking the circles onto the piece for the card.  I then stamped the animals in  Color Box Fluid Chalk Ink in brown.

I was inspired by a card I saw in a book, I loved the look of the card and came up with this interpretation of it.

The funny thing is that it doesn't even come close to looking like the original card and that's fine.  I just used it as an inspiration and never intended it to look like that card.  So I guess my point is that I hope you will get some inspiration from the cards and projects I post here.

Maybe you like the color combination, or the inked circles, or the animal balloons.  Whatever it is that you find inspires you, go with it and have some fun creating your own projects!

The animal balloons can be purchased through either

 Eureka! Stamps or QKR Stampede

just put the # into the search box on either site and you can go from there. They are available in red rubber or digital format.
