Hello and welcome to my blog.

Today I'm showing you a card I made with

"Pear" (#3801) from QKR Stampede.

I stamped the image randomly on white cardstock with black ink and also stamped one image onto cardstock to be colored with FlexMarkers.

I cut down the strip and layered it onto green cardstock, and did the same with the single colored image.

I used some ribbon from my stash that I thought went well with the image.

I like how this card turned out and I think this would be a lovely card for just about any occasion.

Same pear different design.

Hi all! 

In my last post I showed you a card I made using the pear (#3801) image from QKR Stampede.

Today I am showing you a card made with the same image, but with a different card design.  Once the image is done, it's just a matter of layering onto the card.

The "Happy Day" sentiment is from the Happy Birthday set (#22803) There are 4 sentiments in this set.  I cut one of them apart and used just the 2 words that I wanted.  Yes, it's okay to cut your stamps apart and rearrange them.  Makes them even more versatile.

I really am loving playing with this pear image.

Pear from QKR

Hello Everybody!  This pear (#3801) image is quick becoming a favorite stamp.  It is one of the wonderful images that you will find at QKR Stampede.

I know they are called 'somewhat cute, somewhat quirky' but don't get the idea that they only have 'cute' images.  They have some really beautiful stamps, in both rubber and digi.  So be sure to check them out.

So back to the card.

I stamped this image on white card stock and colored it with watercolor crayons.  Then layered it onto a coordination color of card stock from my stash, then onto brown card stock.  I punched the scalloped border with an EK Success border punch.

For the ribbon, I put the ribbon around the brown card stock, then tied a bow and attached it with Crystal Accents.

The entire piece was adhered to a kraft colored card stock base.

Simple note card

Hello out there in blogland!  Today I'm showing you a very simple notecard.  For this card I have used the Pear image (#3801) from QKR Stampede.

I stamped it onto white card stock 2 times and colored them with watercolor crayons. 

I used my new Classic Oval Nestabilities dies and cut the oval for the pear and also the yellow patterned paper that the image is adhered to.  

I layered them onto ivory cardstock that I ran throught my Cuttlebug with a Sizzix texture plate.

I then layered them onto a kraft card stock base.

The second stamped image was fussy cut then adhered over the other pear image with foam tape.  I love the dimension this gives to the notecard.
