Eureka! Stamps Challenge - Add Some Bling

It's Monday, so that means it's time for another
Eureka! Stamps Challenge.
This weeks challenge is
"Add Some Bling"
I chose to use
"Lg Filagree Heart" (#24601) and
"Happy Anniversary" (#9004) both from
I stamped the heart and the sentiment onto
black card stock with VersaMark Ink
and heat embossed them with
white embossing powder.
I then trimmed them out, adhered them to some
light purple vellum and cut around them leaving a
little border.
I then adhered them to the card base.
For the "bling" I added pearl accents in a
coordinating color.
I hope you'll pop over the
and check out all the particulars
about the challenge.

I'm sad to announce that this will be my last
challenge as a design team member,
I started on the QKR Stampede design team in
October of 2010.
Since then I have been a member of sister companies
Eureka! Stamps,
QKR Stampede
and
Biblical Impressions
Design Teams.
But the time has come for me to resign from the team.
Please continue to follow my blog as I have lots of fun things
coming along the way.
There will be scrapbooking, more about Ireland,
Silhouette projects and, of course stamping.
I'm hoping to try some new techniques
and I'll still be doing guest tutorials on

Thanks for stopping by today,
I hope you'll come again soon and
see what I'm up to.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Lace and Pearls Challenge

"Lace and Pearls"
that's the challenge this week on
For my card I used
"Lg Filagree Heart"  (#24601)
"Happy Anniversary"  (#9004) from
Eureka! Stamps
I started by stamping the heart with red ink onto white card stock.
I fussy cut the heart and added
a few different sizes of pearls to the heart.
The Happy Anniversary was heat embossed with white embossing powder.
For a perfect mat I used Perfect Layers Mini Tools from
The heart and sentiment were added to the red panel with
foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you've been inspired
 in some way.

Embossing 2 times.

Hello crafty friends.
Today I have a card I made with
"Lg Filagree Heart" (#24601) from
I used the stamp in 2 ways.
I first stamped it onto the purple card stock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
I then used the same technique on a piece of scrap patterned paper.
I made a template and cut out 3 hearts from that piece.
These were adhered with foam tape.
I used white crochet cotton for the strings.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you've been inspired in some way and maybe will try something a little different with your stamps.
Leave a comment if you will,
and come again soon!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Eureka! Stamps Challenge

It's Monday and that means it's time for another
Eureka! Stamps Challenge.
For the particulars, pop over to the
Today's theme is
"Sweethearts"
This is perfect for me, because my nephew just got engaged.
Pat and Vicki have been together for about 9 yrs and we already consider her part of the family.  I always refer to her as my niece.
We are just so happy for them.
I made this card for them using
"Lg. Filagree Heart" (#24601) from
I stamped with VersaMark ink onto some shimmery white paper and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
I added a bit of ribbon that I got at Michael's the other day.
Below you can see how beautifully the embossing turned out.
Here is a second card that I made with the same stamp and ribbon.
I embossed this one onto white card stock, layered it onto gold vellum and then onto a white card base.
Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you have been inspired and will join the
Eureka! Stamps challenge.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Eureka! Stamps challenge

 Hello!
Today starts new challenge on the
This week the theme is
"Anything Goes"
I decided to make a Valentine with
Lg. Filagree Heart (#24601)
I made the background with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink
(watch for a tutorial in early February on this technique)
I stamped the heart with VersaMark ink
and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.
I then inked over it with the same Distress ink as the background.
The embossing resists the ink and shows up beautifully.
You can see the embossing clearly in the picture below.
I love the shiny-ness of it!
I fussy cut the heart, adhered it to white card stock and then fussy cut it again.
I used foam tape to give it a bit of dimension on the card.
Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you have been inspired in some way.
Pop on over to the
to get all the particulars about the challenge and I hope you will join in the fun.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
