July Not Just Cards Blog Post

Hello everyone!
This is my post for the
This month our sponsor is
The image I worked with is an
Karmina is the name of this magical being.
At first I wasn't sure what I should do with this image,
so I just started coloring her with my
to blend the colors.
Once I had her colored I decided that I wanted to go with
a magical theme.
I found a quote that I loved and stamped it with
Sophisticated Script stamp sets from
Concord & 9th
I used both upper and lower case sets.

"Magic is believing in yourself.
If you can do that, you can make anything happen."

It takes a little time to stamp something like this
as each letter has to be stamped separately,
but I think it's worth the time and effort to get that
beautiful script.
I matted the image with a purple card stock and
mounted it to the 12 x 12 stamped card stock.
I added a few sequins and it was done.
I have made several 12 x 12 pieces for the walls at
"My Happy Place"
which is the crafting studio where I do most of my creating.
All of the pieces have crafting or inspirational quotes on them and
I think this one will fit in perfectly.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you have been inspired to think outside the
box and try something a little different.
I also hope you will join in the fun of this months challenge on the
Come again soon.
Until then,

Distress Crayon Background and Flowers

Hi blog friends!
Today I have a birthday card that I made for a friend.
I knew I wanted to use these flowers from
I stamped them onto white card stock with
colored them with my Fantasia Colored Pencils and
then fussy cut them.
I wanted something a little different for the background, so I went to
my stash of backgrounds that I've made just for this purpose.
I found this one that I made with my
I trimmed it down, adhered it to a coordinating piece of card stock
and adhered that to the front of a white card base.
Inside I stamped the sentiment using
I love how this card turned out and hope my friend loves it too.

Thanks for stopping by today, come again soon.
Until then
craft something fun!

Mother's Day Card #3

Hello!
Today I have card #3 in my
Mother's Day Card Series
For this card I used the
Zinnia stamp from
Impression Obsession
I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink
onto white card stock.
I stamped onto some scrap paper and fussy cut
the flowers to use as masks.
This gives the look of the flowers being
in front of or behind others.
I colored the flowers with my
and a
I fussy cut around the top of the flowers,
adhered it with foam tape to the card base.
The sentiment is from the
from QKR Stampede.
To finish off the card I added some
small sequins and Yellow Nuvo Drops.
I think they added just the right touch
to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today,
I hope you are enjoying my
Mother's Day Card Series.
Next time will be card #4.

Mother's Day Card

Mother's Day is coming up pretty quickly.
Sunday, May 14th is Mother's Day,
have you started your cards yet?
I have to make a few cards to send out,
and this is my first.
When I was shopping with a couple friends
in Ohio, I found this
for half price, so I had to pick it up.
I do love flower stamps!
I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black Ink,
colored it with my Fantasia Colored Pencils,
then fussy cut the pieces.
I used my Prismacolor blender pencil
for the first time and love how it works.
I wanted something more than a plain white background,
so I went into my stash of goodies and found
a piece of deli paper that I had colored with
alcohol inks and used that.
The sentiment is from the
QKR Stampede
I wasn't sure at first how I liked this card, but
it really has grown on me and I really do like it.
I'm hoping to get some more
Mother's Day cards done this weekend.
How about you, what do you have planned?

Thanks for stopping by,
see you again soon!
