Father's Day Gears

Hello!
Today is the last post in my
Father's Day Car series.
For these cards I used the
I used my MISTI stamping tool and positioned the stamps on the tool.
Using the MISTI makes it so easy to stamp more than one card and have
them all positioned  and stamped perfectly.
I stamped with VersaMark ink then brushed on Perfect Pearls Powder
To give the shine to the images.

I layered the panel with the images onto card stock then onto
white card bases. The card on the left I used shiny silver card stock
for the mat, you can see the shine of the silver in this picture.
I stamped Happy Father's Day from the
Here is a picture that shows the shine from the Perfect Pearls.
Here are the other 2 cards I made with this design.
The sentiments are a variety of techniques,
plain stamping with VersaFine ink,
I enjoyed making these cards and making each one a little bit
different from the others.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have enjoyed
my Father's Day Card series and have been inspired in some way.
Father's day is going to be here soon, I hope you've made a card or two.

Celtic Father's Day

Father's Day is getting closer.
Have you made your Father's Day cards yet?
Here is another on the cards I made this year.
This one is for my husband.  We are huge fans of
Ireland and Celtic designs, that is why I chose to make this one
for him.
I stamped Heart Chain Border from Eureka Stamps
onto red and black card stock with VersaMark Ink.
I then heat embossed them using
I embossed both of these pieces thinking I would choose
the one that I liked the best, then decided to use them both
on the card and like the results.
The sentiment is from the
from QKR Stampede,
I think my husband will like this card as much as I
liked making it for him.

Thanks for stopping by,
come again soon and see some more in the
Father's Day Card series.
Until then,
Enjoy Life!

Fishing Father's Day

Hello crafty peeps!
Today I'm starting a series of Father's Day cards that I have
created to send to the fathers in my life.
I no longer have my own father, but there are plenty of
others that I'd like to share my appreciation with.
For this card I stamped
Happy Father's Day from the
all from QKR Stampede,
onto card stock and colored them with my
I added a little VersaMark ink and Perfect Pearls
to the fish to give the scales a little shine.
The stamped panel was layered onto kraft card stock and
then adhered to a white card base.
I will add a personal note inside the card.

Have you made any Father's Day cards yet?
I hope you'll come again soon to see some more
cards in this series.
See you then!

Farm Animal Challenge

Hello stampers and other friends!
Today there is a new challenge from Eureka! Stamps
The theme is
"Farm Animals"
For my project I have used
"Pig in Chocolate" (#1403) from
and the "Happy" from the
"Happy Birthday" set (#22803) from
"Field Grass Left" (#38901) from
Biblical Impressions
QKR and BI are sister companies of Eureka! Stamps.
I stamped Pig in Chocolate onto a tag with brown ink.
Stamped it again onto scrap paper and fussy cut it for a mask.
After coloring the pig with water color crayons,
I put the mask over the image and used
Distress Inks to color the grass and sky.
I used the Field Grass stamp to make the grass
and tore pieces of hand made paper for the clouds.
I thought Happy Happy Happy
was a perfect sentiment for this little guy.
I hope you like my project and are inspired in some way.
Please see the
for further information on the challenge.
Hope you'll play along.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Until next time, Happy Crafting.

Father's day train card

Hello!
Today I have a Father's Day card to show you.
I have used
"Train" (#19205) and
"Happy Birthday Set" (#22803) from
 "Forest Left" (#38905) and
"Field Grass Left" (#38901)
The train was stamped onto white card stock and colored
using color pencils and Gamsol.
I stamped the train again onto scrap paper
and fussy cut it to make a mask.
I then put the mask over the stamped train image
and inked the rest of the card.
Then stamped the trees and grass,
removed the mask and adhered it to card stock.
I used my Perfect Layers Mini and Perfect Cutting Mat
to cut a perfect mat around this image.
When you lift the train panel another panel drops down
to show the
Happy Father's Day greeting.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Eureka! Stamps Challenge - Father's Day

Father's Day is fast approaching, so it makes sense that
this weeks challenge theme for the
Eureka! Stamps Challenge
is "Father's Day"
For my card I used
"Lg Tree" (#15302) from
and "Happy Father's Day" from the
"Happy Birthday Set" (#22803) from
The tree image was stamped onto white card stock with
a dark brown ink.  I then used Distress inks to color the area
around the tree.

I love the way this card works!
Slide off the 'belly band' and
when you open the card, the center opens like the shutter of a camera.
Above you see it part way open and below

you see it almost all the way open.
This card is a lot easier to make than you might think.
If you'd like to try it go to
on Stamp & Scrap with Frenchie
where you will find a video with instructions.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you'll check out the particulars about the challenge
and join in the fun on the

Mother's Day Flower Challenge

Hello!
The Eureka! Stamps Blog
has a new challenge and this week the theme is
"Mother's Day Flowers"
For my card I've used
"Mixed Bouquet" (#9206) from Eureka! Stamps and
Happy Mother's Day from the
"Happy Birthday" set (#22803) from QKR Stampede
sister company of Eureka! Stamps

I stamped the Mixed Bouquet onto white card stock and colored them with
colored pencils and Gamsol.
I love the way the Gamsol smooths and blends the colors.
I used some blue Distress Ink to lightly color around the bouquet.
All the mats were cut easily and perfectly with my
Perfect Layers Mini Tools and The Perfect Cutting Mat from

I hope you'll play along with the challenge,
someone is going to win, maybe it will be you!

Ribbons and Bows Challenge

Hello blog friends!
I took a break from my design team work for a couple months.
Life was just getting too busy and I needed a break from something.
BUT, I'm back and it's time for another
The theme of the challenge is
"Ribbons and Bows"
I decided to use 2 images from
"Round Balloon" (#8203) and
"Heart Balloon" (#5204)
Imagine you open an envelope and take this card out.
You think what the heck is this?
Then you open it out and  SURPRISE!!!!
It's a card in a box!
How fun is that?!?!

For my balloons I stamped the round balloon and heart balloon
images onto the back of some glitter card stock.
I then cut them out.
I made little bows with 'bakers twine'
and glued them to each balloon as well as
gluing a piece to hang down as the balloon string.
Each balloon was adhered to a small strip of acetate
that was used to hold the balloon upright.
I adhered a piece of gold ribbon and a bow around the box area
with ATG tape.
For a greeting, on the back of the box, I added a layer of white card stock,
stamped the balloons onto yellow card stock,
then stamped the "Happy" from the
"Happy Birthday" set (#22803) from
which is sister company to
I fussy cut the balloons and adhered them along with
balloon strings and bows to the back of the card.

If you'd like to learn how to make a card like this, you can find a video at
I'm sure there are other videos out there,
but this is where I learned of it and got the pattern.

I hope you have been inspired and will join the
Ribbon and Bow challenge on the

Birthday Slider Card

Hi!  I hope your having a good day!
We seem to be having some actual spring weather here in
Western New York, let's hope it stays!
Hope you're having some nice weather too.

Today I have a birthday slider card to show you.
I used "Heart Balloon" (#5204) from Eureka! Stamps and
"Love You" (#10301) and "Happy Birthday" set (#22803) from
All the papers I used were from my scrap stash.
I stamped the balloons on scraps of patterned paper
then fussy cut them.
This was a fun card to create.
I love that it slides to reveal another sentiment.

I'm entering this card in the

Happy Father's Day Car

Masculine cards are, for me, one of the hardest to make.
But every now and then I make one and it comes together nicely.
Today I have a Father's Day card that I made with 2 stamps from
QKR Stampede."Old Car" (#20205) and "Happy Father's Day"
from the "Happy Birthday Set" (#22803)
I saw this different style somewhere and thought I'd see what I could do with it and this is what I made.
It was a quick card to make as the "Old Car" didn't need any coloring, I just stamped it onto cardstock with Color Box Fluid Chalk Ink in brown.
Same with the sentiment.
The dots are simply from the holes made with a hole punch.
Inside I simply layered the sentiment onto a piece of the same patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope I've given you some inspiration, perhaps for a Father's Day card you need to make.
Why not pop into the QKR Stampede store and see what you might like to use for your Father's Day cards.
Leave a comment if you would and come back soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Mother's Day Rose

Hi everybody!
I have another Mother's Day card to show you.
I think this one will go to Aunt Bea, my hubby's aunt.
She just moved into an assisted living center and I think a pretty card along with some flowers for Mother's Day will be just right for her.
I stamped this image onto white cardstock and colored it with FlexMarkers.
I fussy cut it and adhered it with foam tape to a card base covered with some patterned paper from my scrap stash.
Sorry, I don't know who made the stamp and I've had it for years.
The "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment is from the
"Happy Birthday" set (#22803) from QKR Stampede.

Thanks for stopping by today, leave a comment if you will.
I hope you have a lovely Mother's Day.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
