To make it easier to read about our trip to Ireland, I have made a page that is just for that. There is a tab above for Ireland Trip 2014 or click on the Home tab to read my other posts. I have also created a new page for My Weight Loss Journey if you are interested in that, click on the tab above.

Card with Tag

Hello crafty people!
Today I have a card to share with you.
I was trying to use up some pieces that I had started
or made a while ago that were in my stash and
I came across this tag.
Don't have a clue when I made it or why,
probably just messing around.
I thought it would be nice on a card
so I grabbed my stash of background pieces that
I had made and chose the orange one.
I thought it matched nicely with that washi tape
at the bottom of the tag.
The background piece was made with alcohol inks on
a glossy card stock.
I added the best wishes sentiment to the tag and
adhered it to the front of the card.
Done, easy peasy.
The inside, I left blank, so I could add a
personal note or stamp it at a later time.

I appreciate that you stopped to spend a little time
with me today.
I hope you'll come again soon.
Until then,
use some of your stash and make something
unexpected.

Kelsie's Card

Hi all!
Our family has a lot of birthdays and anniversaries
in February.  One of those is our daughter's birthday.
Kelsie loves purple, so I took a dive into my
background stash and found this piece that I made
vellum.  It's hard to get a picture of how really
beautiful this piece is, but I love it.
When the ink was still a little tacky in spots
I applied some pink metallic Deco-foil
Adhesives show through vellum, so I covered the
entire back of it with wide score tape and adhered it to
a white card base. Covering the entire piece
gives it a uniform look and you can't see the adhesive.
I cut the Happy Birthday from some glitter card stock
and also cut 3 or 4 from plain white card stock.
I then layered them to give the sentiment some dimension.
You can see the shiny pink Deco-foil a little better
in this picture.
On the inside of the card, I wrote a personal note
to Kelsie.

Thanks for coming by today,
I hope you'll stop again soon.
Until then,
make someone smile.

Lego Valentine

Hello blog friends.
A little bit ago, I posted a Lego card that I made
for a birthday and my nephew just loved it.
For Valentine's Day I wanted to make something special
for him.  The other cards I made just didn't
look like something a young boy would like,
so I decided to make him another Lego card.
I found a picture of a Lego heart online
and recreated it with some background pieces
made with alcohol inks from my stash.
I designed it and
cut all the Lego pieces with my Silhouette,
then pieced them together onto
white card stock.
Each of the little circles are on tiny
foam dot adhesive pieces.
It was a bit fussy, but well worth
the time, as I love how it turned out.
I hope Anthony loves it as much as I do.

Thanks for stopping by today,
I hope you've been inspired in some way and
will come again soon.
Until then
think outside the box and try something
new!
