Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!
Just a quick post to send greetings and show you
the cards I made for my grand babies.
This one is for Marie, 5 yrs old.
Open and inside is a pop up chick.
Here's a better look at the "sky"
His one is for Asher, 2 yrs old.
Inside is a pop up rabbit and lady bug.
I know these aren't perfectly shaped, but I drew and cut them free
hand,  The eggs, butterflies and flowers were all punches or fussy
cut from card stock.  I love the carrots and lady bug, fussy cut from
scrapbook paper.
I sketched the bunny and chick, then cut them and drew the face
on the bunny.
I think the kids will like these cards.
Thanks for stopping in.
Come back soon and I'll have the results of our
"Annual Maynard Family Egg Coloring Contest."

Bridal Shower Layouts w/Fussy Cutting and Pockets

Hello crafty friends!
Today I'd like to show you a couple layouts I created
for Kelsie and Brad's wedding scrapbooks.
This layout is from the bridal shower.
For the left page, I fussy cute the wreath of flowers
from a 12x12 piece of patterned card stock. Then
added the picture of them to the center.
The page on the right, I fussy cut the flowers from
another sheet of the same card stock.
I love how this turned out, this is one that I showed
Kelsie and she loved it too.
I wanted to put her cards and gifts inserts into the album,
so I decided to create a layout with a couple pockets to
hold them.  This is what I came up with.
I made the pockets and cut the little umbrellas with a die
and a Sizzix, yes, the old fashioned kind.

All the cards and gift inserts fit nicely and they
will be able to take them out whenever they want
to look at them.
I've gotten quite a bit done on their albums, but I still have
a ways to go.  Yes, it's been over 2 years since the wedding,
I'm a very slow scrapper, but it will get done.
Jaryd and Sara's wedding books ended up being 6 books
and I'm sure Kelsie and Brad's will be just as many.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have been
inspired in some way and will come back soon.
Until then,
create with love.

Art Swap Christmas Card 2023

Hello and welcome!
I know this is past the Christmas season,
but I wanted to share this card I made for
a friend.
Our swap group had a Christmas card swap and this
is the card I made.
I made this with a set of dies I got from Temu.
I will admit that it took me a while to figure it all
out and get it together.
It's my own fault though, as I made it much more
difficult than it needed to be.
For instance I wanted the cut out areas to show gold on
both sides of the card, so I had to do a double layer of
the center panel and position the gold behind both sides.
I ended up using a whole piece for one side and gluing the
cut out pieces into the open areas on the other side.
A tedious task, but I got it done.
I also cut out snow for the bottom of this panel and
also cut the deer out and adhered it to the deer that
was originally green.
I put a small panel in to write my greeting,
then decided that some birds would look
really cute and cut them from another die
and adhered them to the top of the small panel.
I was very happy with this card in the end and love
how it turned out.
It was a lot of work and figuring, but it was well worth
it.

I'm glad you stopped in today and hope you have been inspired
in some way.
Please do come again,
until then,
make something you love.

Father's Day or Any Time Cards

Hello crafty people!
Today I'm showing you the cards I made for Father's Day.
I think they would work for any occasion, just change
the sentiment and you'll have the card you need.
I used a die that I have in my stash for this card.
I cut the hexagon shapes in a few different papers.
I then glued the outline to a piece of burlap paper,
I used different sizes and patterns to fill in some of
the spaces and glued them down.
Added the sentiment and glued the whole thing
to a kraft card base.
I really love how this turned out.
Great masculine card.
This die was one I bought from Temu.
My friend Judy gave me the die to cut this one
out.  I used a blue piece for the outline and a piece of
the Disney paper for all the inside pieces.
Now I also have the outline and blue pieces for another card.
My grandchildren gave this one to their Daddy for Father's day.
This die is great for all kind of cards.
This die is from Kokorosa but I wasn't able to find
it on their site.  Maybe it's just me, or they have discontinued it.

Thanks for stopping by to check out what I've been up to.
I hope you've been inspired in some way and will come
again soon.
Until then,
play with some dies.

You Make My Heart Smile Valentine Cards

Hello everyone!
Today I have a couple more Valentine cards to show you.
I used a piece of alcohol inked card stock from my stash
as a background.
I cut the heart our with a die and my Cuttlebug,
stamped the sentiment onto it and added little
dash lines around the heart.
It was adhered with foam tape to the front of
the card.
This card was even simpler to make.
I found the paper with the red flower petals around
the edge in my stash and used that as a front panel.
Stamped the sentiment, I adhered it to
a red card base and it was done.
For both cards I stamped
Happy Velentine's Day
on the inside with a
Dyan Reavely alpha set
Easy peasy cards,
just use what you have, use up that
stash and people will love these cards much more
than something bought from a store.

Note the links are only to give a reference so you can
see what the products are.
I didn't necessarily purchase from these sites,
except where specified,
and you may find better prices elsewhere,
I am in no way promoting any particular site.

Our Christmas Cards

Hi there crafters!
Today I'm showing you some of my Christmas cards.
I was totally inspired when I saw
this video by Kristina Werner
I loved those cards and decided to make my
own cards in this kind of design.
I have a few different tree dies and decided to use
some of the backgrounds that I had in my stash.
I went with whatever colors I had and I have to say
I love how they turned out.  Most of them
are not traditional Christmas colors, but that's okay
with me.
Here you can see the background panel.
The white was just too stark, so I embossed them
with snowflakes.  This added just the right touch.
Here's a picture of some of the different colors
I used for the trees.
All in all I made a little over 50 of these cards
that will be sent out to family and friends
this Christmas season.

Thanks for stopping by today,
have you started your Christmas cards?
Christmas is coming quick, so better get to it!
Until next time,
be creative!
