Happy Birthday Aunt Marilyn

Hello!  I hope you're having a wonderful day.
Today I have a birthday card to show you.
My Aunt Marilyn turned 98 today (Sept. 29th)
She lives in North Carolina and I haven't seen her
for quite some time now.
Covid has changed so much!
I wanted to make her something beautiful
so I used one of my favorite stamp sets.
onto white card stock with VersaFine Onyx Black
ink and colored them with my Arteza colored pencils.
I fussy cut them and adhered them to a card base.
The happy birthday sentiment is from
Lawn Fawn Scripty Words set
also stamped with VersaFine ink.
Since this card was an odd size, I made
an envelope to send it in.
I think she'll be happy to receive a pretty
card for her birthday.

Thanks for stopping in today,
I hope you'll come again soon.
Until then,
make someone smile.

Unicorn Minnie

Hi all!
The other day I posted a card for my
great nephew with Darth Vader on it.
Today I'm showing you the card I made for
his sister, Andrea, who is also our Godchild.
Andrea is crazy for unicorns, so I took a picture of
Minnie Mouse, drew it onto a piece of card stock
without her big bow and added a horn instead.
She is adhered with a Wobbler to give her
some movement.
The sentiment is from
I thought she turned out really cute and Andrea loved her card.
I think Andrea loved her envelope even more though.
I used a water colored background piece from my stash,
and lettered her name onto it, then adhered it to the
envelope.  She took the name piece off the envelope
gave it to her Mom and said she wanted to keep it.

Thanks for stopping by today,  I hope you are inspired in
some way.  Maybe you'll try doing a little something
on the next envelope you use.
Let me know in the comments if you ever do any
artwork on your envelopes.
Until next time,
think outside the box!

You're How Old?

Good Day Blog Friends!
Today I have a card to show you that I just love.
I wanted to make a card using the
I chose this one, because I love that surprised look on the
little guys face.
I stamped it onto water color paper
with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and colored him with
The black card stock had been crumpled,
spritzed with water and had Perfect Pearls brushed onto it.
It's hard to see the shimmer in the picture, but in real life it has a lot
of shimmer and shine.
I tore the card stock to mimic the shape of the dog, then
adhered the dog to it.
The background panel was made using
that I found in my stash, I adhered it to a piece of
white card stock.
I stamped the sentiment using an alphabet set
that I have in my stamp collection.
I thought it went perfectly with the look on the dogs face.
The whole panel was then adhered to a black card base.
Inside I stamped the
"happy birthday" with the
from Lawn Fawn
onto a color that coordinated with the
front panel.

I'm glad you stopped by today and hope you'll come again soon.
Until then,
have fun crafting.

Kelsie's Card

Hello!
Today I have a card to show you that my daughter made.
She wanted to make a card for her boyfriend's father
for his birthday.
First she made the striped background with my
and
She then stamped the cupcakes onto white card stock
The cupcakes are an old set from Inkadinkado
and I can't find them anywhere to link to.
She fussy cut the cupcakes, adhered them to the
striped panel with foam tape
and adhered that to the card base.
Inside she simply stamped
'happy birthday'
from
stamp set.
She then made an envelope to go with the card
I think it turned out great.
We had a nice time and I got to teach her some new things
which I know she will use again for future cards.
Thanks for stopping by,
have a wonderful day
and learn something new.
