Hello crafty people!
One day at our crop a friend asked if I
knew what mulberry paper was.
I told her that I did and had some right there
at the crop, pulled some out to show her
and decided that I should make a card using some
of it.
I love using mulberry paper, but often don't think
about it. I'm glad my friend asked about it.
When you use it, the easiest way to get the
size you want it to use a paint brush or even your
finger to wet the paper where you want to tear it. Then
gently pull it to tear. The fibers in the paper give you
the feathered look along the edges, which I love.
If you don't want that look, you can always just use a paper cutter
to cut it to size.
I stamped the image and sentiment with brown Archival ink
and used Bearly Arts Glue to adhere it to the front of
the card base.
I use ATG tape very often to adhere panels to my card
bases, but mulberry paper just doesn't work with tapes,
the tape just doesn't stick to the paper,
so wet glue is a must.
I love how this card turned out.
Thanks for stopping in today to see what I've been up to.
I hope you will come again soon.
Until then,
give a new supply a try.
