Anything Goes Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog.
Today starts the
"Anything Goes" challenge on the
I have used
"Pirate Balloon Holder" (#23907)
"Parrot Balloon" (#23906)
"Heart Balloon" (#5204)
"Oval Balloon" ( #5201)
"Field Grass Right" (#38925) from
"Happy Birthday" (#22803) from
Biblical Impressions and QKR Stampede
are sister companies of Eureka! Stamps
The pirate and balloons were all stamped onto white card stock, colored with water color crayons and fussy cut.
The sky background was done with a template that I got from my friend Roxie's blog  Paper Scaper
Roxie is very talented, so check out her blog.
You'll find the template link along the right hand side of her blog.
I used Distress inks to color the sky as well as the hill the pirate is standing on.
My great nephew just had his 5th birthday and his kids party had a pirate theme.  To stay with that theme, I made this card for him.
I think he'll like it.
I hope you've been inspired and will play along with the challenge.
You might also want to check out the
and see all the wonderful images they have.
There are a LOT of these balloons and holders,
so pop over and see what you like.
Thanks for stopping by today,
come again soon.
Until next time, Happy Crafting!

3 Favorite Embellishments

Hello blog fans!
Today we start a new challenge on the
This weeks theme is
"Use 3 Favorite Embellishments"
I used
"Cool Cat With Shades" (#23902) from
Eureka! Stamps for this card
I stamped Cool Cat onto white card stock
colored him with water color crayons and fussy cut him.
For my 3 favorite embellishments I used
1.  The sunglasses.  I bought several pair of these sunglasses a long time ago.  They were on clearance and had pins on the backs. I cut the pins off and have used them on cards and layouts when I can.  I love them.
2.  Ribbon is another of my favorite embellishments, so I tied a bow for a tie around his neck.
3.  I have these little wood stars that I just love.  I covered them with a bit of Glossy Accents and dipped them into gold glitter.
I thought I could write
"You're a star!"
inside.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you've been inspired in some way.
I'd love to see some of your favorite embellishments,
so pop over to the Eureka! blog and check out the
challenge particulars.
Come again soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Bundle Up It's Cold Outside

Hello crafting friends!
I hope you've been staying warm through the "Polar Vortex"
The theme for this weeks
Eureka! Stamps Challenge
is coincidentally
"Bundle Up It's Cold Outside"
for my card I chose to use
"Snow Background" (#27301) and
"Snow Scene Circle" (#17301)
both from
Eureka! Stamps

I stamped Snow Background onto white card stock with
Versa Mark ink and embossed it with white
embossing powder.
I then used Distress Inks to color over the embossed image.
The embossing resists the color leaving snow in a blue sky.
I stamped the Snow Scene Circle onto white card stock and colored
it with water color crayons then fussy cut around the scene.
There are snowflakes around the whole scene, but I cut them out.
The particulars for the challenge can be found on the
I hope you have been inspired and will join
the challenge and check out
the other inspiration pieces on the blog.

Thanks for stopping by today,
I hope you'll come again soon.
Stay warm!
Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Blue and Bling Challenge

Happy New Year!
And welcome to my post for the first
Eureka! Stamps Challenge of 2014.
This week our theme is
"Blue and Bling"
I chose "Snow Background" (#27301) from
as my background.
The sentiment is "Be Still" (#30126) from
which is a sister company of Eureka! Stamps.
Eureka! Stamps has this same sentiment,
but in a different font.
It is "Be Still and Know" (#27503)

I stamped the Snow Background with VersaMark ink,
embossed it with white embossing powder,
then inked over the entire surface with
blue Distress Ink.
The sentiment is also done with
white embossing powder.
I added some 'blink' to the centers of the snowflakes.
All the mats are cut using the
Perfect Layers
which give an equal cut every time.

challenge, please check the

I hope you have been inspired here today
