My Other Pages

To make it easier to read about our trip to Ireland, I have made a page that is just for that. There is a tab above for Ireland Trip 2014 or click on the Home tab to read my other posts. I have also created a new page for My Weight Loss Journey if you are interested in that, click on the tab above.

Father's Day Card

Welcome!
Father's Day is fast approaching, so I got a couple
cards made to have ready.
I made this one for my husband who is a wonderful
father and grandfather.
I made it very easily using a background I found in
my hand made stash.
I used alcohol inks and spray alcohol to make this
background.
The sentiment was made using my
This card, I made for my son, who is a wonderful father
to our beautiful 18 month old granddaughter.
I'm so proud of the father he is and the love and caring he
shows for Marie.
I used 2 background pieces from my stash for this one.
Both of them were made with alcohol inks.
I cut the sentiment and the shadow with my Silhouette.
The shadow was cut out of the brown background
then the letters were adhered into those spaces.
I trimmed out the top and bottom of the front to match the
lettering, then decided to trim the inside of the card also.
This added just that little something inside.
My family always appreciates when I make cards for them,
so I know they will like these.
Have you made your Father's Day cards yet?

Thanks for stopping by today and spending some time
with me.
Come again soon.
Until then,

Birthday Card and Envelope

Hello everyone and welcome!
Today I have a card and envelope to share with you.
I needed a birthday card for a friend and chose this one
from my stash.  I'm sure I have shared this one with you before.
I was inspired by Cee Cee who is one of my favorite watercolor
artists.  I follow her on YouTube and Instagram
Creationsceecee
She has very calming videos and her work is beautiful.
I wanted to make this special, so decided to make a
mail art envelope for the card.
The card itself is an uncommon size, so I made an envelope for
it with my
I used 1070AA ZINNIAS
and colored them with my
I think it will make her smile when she receives it.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I've been creating
lately.  Hope you'll come again soon.

I'm Back!

 Hello crafty friends!

Things have been a bit crazy around here the last couple months,
but either they are slowing down, or I'm getting used to it.
Our new garage structure will be finished in the next few days,
but we still will have to get the electrical put in, the door put on
and the floor coated.
All the possessions that we were able to salvage are sitting in bins in
our house waiting to be taken back to the garage, or they are in the yard
along the back of the house and fence.  I can't wait to have things back in order again!

It took a while to get the supplies to build the garage, so in the meantime we had
the same company build us a new deck and we are loving it.
It's a wonderful calming happy place to sit and relax.
I see many happy times being spent out there.

Hopefully, now I can get back on a regular schedule of posting
every few days.  I have a couple cards and several scrapbook layouts
to share with y'all, so I will get to work on those posts and see you soon.
Thanks for visiting Kristie Kreates and for your patience while
I recover from our fire!
