Father's Day Gift

Hello and Welcome!
I know Father's Day is quite a while ago, but
I want to share this little project with you.
This could be made for any reason,
birthday, father's day, Christmas
what ever.
I saw it somewhere on the internet and saved
the picture to my computer.
I didn't have any flat Lego's, so I asked my
Buy Nothing Group for them and
someone came through.
Marie (3.5yrs old) and I made this
together.  She decided that we should put them
in this order.  Then we glued the eyes on together.
I used my label maker and added the names and
greeting.  Put it in a frame and there was a
cute gift for Daddy.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you
like this little project and might think about
making one for someone special in you life.
Come again soon.
Until then,
make something fun.

Father's Day Layout

Hello fans!
Today I have a couple layouts I recently created at
a crop.
They are from our Father's Day get together this
year.  We had a wonderful time together with family.
We're trying to get group selfies at our gatherings
lately and they are turning out great.
The background card stock is embossed with designs and
words. I inked over the words
Family is Forever at the bottom of the page and
where ever it says father throughout the page.
They just look like smudges in the picture, but
in real life it shows up nicely.
Good food and fun times.
Sorry the pictures aren't better, it's the best I could
do with the lighting I had.
I think you can get the idea though.

Thanks for stopping by,
come again soon.
Until then,
love your family.

Father's Day Gifts

Hello crafty people!
Today I'm showing you the shirts I made for
my husband and son for Father's Day.
I think each shirt really suits the one it's made for.
This is obviously for my hubby.
This is for my son.
When I saw this somewhere online, I knew
I had to make it for Jaryd.
It is so him.
The kids and I pitched in together to get Dave
a bike trailer for his new bike.
We gave it to him early and he was thrilled with it,
now he'll be able to go for rides and take Marie along
with him.
Jaryd is getting a gift certificate from
He and Sara love their coffee and candles.
The family is getting together to celebrate these
2 Dads and I'm sure we'll all have a great time.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you have a chance to celebrate with a
Dad on Father's Day.

Father's Day Card

Welcome!
Father's Day is fast approaching, so I got a couple
cards made to have ready.
I made this one for my husband who is a wonderful
father and grandfather.
I made it very easily using a background I found in
my hand made stash.
I used alcohol inks and spray alcohol to make this
background.
The sentiment was made using my
This card, I made for my son, who is a wonderful father
to our beautiful 18 month old granddaughter.
I'm so proud of the father he is and the love and caring he
shows for Marie.
I used 2 background pieces from my stash for this one.
Both of them were made with alcohol inks.
I cut the sentiment and the shadow with my Silhouette.
The shadow was cut out of the brown background
then the letters were adhered into those spaces.
I trimmed out the top and bottom of the front to match the
lettering, then decided to trim the inside of the card also.
This added just that little something inside.
My family always appreciates when I make cards for them,
so I know they will like these.
Have you made your Father's Day cards yet?

Thanks for stopping by today and spending some time
with me.

Dress for Father's Day

Happy Day to y'all!
For Mother's Day one of the gifts my kids gave me was
yarn and a pattern to crochet a dress for my granddaughter.
Unfortunately, I didn't get it right on Mother's Day.
With the pandemic, we weren't seeing the kids much, but
finally I got the yarn and pattern.
I worked up this dress in just one evening.  It's a pretty easy
pattern and I gave it to Jaryd for Father's Day.
This is my fabulous granddaughter, Marie, in her
new dress and head band.  The pattern calls for a
sort of waist band, but I thought it would be a bit
bulky and warm, so I chose to make the flower and
add that to the front instead.
Here's the funny thing, the kids surely didn't know much
about crocheting and how much yarn would be needed.
They bought me 4 skeins of yarn to make this dress.
The dress took exactly one skein.
Guess I'll be making something else for our little one.
I'm thinking a little cardigan to match might be nice
for cooler nights.

Thanks for stopping in today and spending time
seeing what I've been up to.
Come again soon,
until then:
Happy Crafting!

Father's Day Card

Hello everyone!
Welcome to my blog, so glad you have stopped
by today.
Today I'm showing you the card I made for my
son for Father's Day.
He daughter, Marie Cathrine, is due to be born in November,
so I wanted to give him a little something to celebrate
Father's Day.

He and Sara have 2 cats, so I thought this
Crazy Kitty Set would be perfect for his card.
I stamped it with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and
colored it with colored pencils.
For his gift I found a lovely frame
that says
"I loved you before I met you"
I thought it would be perfect
for a picture of him and Marie.

Thanks for stopping today,
I hope you had a wonderful Father's Day.
Come again soon.
Until then, tell a father how important he is.

Father's Day

Hello all!
I know this is really late for Father's Day,
but I wanted to share this card I made for my husband.
It, obviously, could be used for any occasion,
with just a different sentiment.
Recently I have been spending a lot of my
crafty time making backgrounds for my stash.
One of the techniques I've been doing a lot is
using alcohol inks, dropping them onto different
papers and seeing what I get.
There are many techniques that you can use to
make different patterns.
For this one, I dropped ink onto a piece of vellum.
I used blending solution to help the inks flow and mix.
When most of the ink was dry, but there were spots
that were still a little tacky, I applied
The foil adhered to the tacky ink creating
shiny blue areas on the background piece.
I wrapped the vellum background around a
piece of white card stock to make it more sturdy
then adhered it to a white card base.
The sentiment was stamped with
Here you can see where the blue foil has adhered to the
ink, giving a metallic shine.
I've been having so much fun creating backgrounds
for my stash, I've built up quite a collection.
Now I just have to get to work making cards and
other projects with them.

Thanks for popping in to check out what I've been up to.

Father's Day Gears

Hello!
Today is the last post in my
Father's Day Car series.
For these cards I used the
I used my MISTI stamping tool and positioned the stamps on the tool.
Using the MISTI makes it so easy to stamp more than one card and have
them all positioned  and stamped perfectly.
I stamped with VersaMark ink then brushed on Perfect Pearls Powder
To give the shine to the images.

I layered the panel with the images onto card stock then onto
white card bases. The card on the left I used shiny silver card stock
for the mat, you can see the shine of the silver in this picture.
I stamped Happy Father's Day from the
Here is a picture that shows the shine from the Perfect Pearls.
Here are the other 2 cards I made with this design.
The sentiments are a variety of techniques,
plain stamping with VersaFine ink,
I enjoyed making these cards and making each one a little bit
different from the others.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have enjoyed
my Father's Day Card series and have been inspired in some way.
Father's day is going to be here soon, I hope you've made a card or two.
Until next time,
have fun making something!

Celtic Father's Day

Father's Day is getting closer.
Have you made your Father's Day cards yet?
Here is another on the cards I made this year.
This one is for my husband.  We are huge fans of
Ireland and Celtic designs, that is why I chose to make this one
for him.
I stamped Heart Chain Border from Eureka Stamps
onto red and black card stock with VersaMark Ink.
I then heat embossed them using
I embossed both of these pieces thinking I would choose
the one that I liked the best, then decided to use them both
on the card and like the results.
The sentiment is from the
from QKR Stampede,
I think my husband will like this card as much as I
liked making it for him.

Thanks for stopping by,
come again soon and see some more in the
Father's Day Card series.
Until then,
Enjoy Life!

Fishing Father's Day

Hello crafty peeps!
Today I'm starting a series of Father's Day cards that I have
created to send to the fathers in my life.
I no longer have my own father, but there are plenty of
others that I'd like to share my appreciation with.
For this card I stamped
Happy Father's Day from the
all from QKR Stampede,
onto card stock and colored them with my
I added a little VersaMark ink and Perfect Pearls
to the fish to give the scales a little shine.
The stamped panel was layered onto kraft card stock and
then adhered to a white card base.
I will add a personal note inside the card.

Have you made any Father's Day cards yet?
I hope you'll come again soon to see some more
cards in this series.
See you then!
