My Other Pages

To make it easier to read about our trip to Ireland, I have made a page that is just for that. There is a tab above for Ireland Trip 2014 or click on the Home tab to read my other posts. I have also created a new page for My Weight Loss Journey if you are interested in that, click on the tab above.

Anything Goes Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my post for the
"Anything Goes Blog Hop"
This is a joint hop by the Eureka! Stamps and
QKR Stampede Design Teams.
These are 2 sister companies and we are
coordinating to have this fun and inspirational blog hop.
And there will be prizes, so be sure to comment on
all the different blogs in the hop.
Someone is going to win, it might be you!
At this time I'm on the Eureka! Design Team, but have
been on the QKR team in the past.
If you are arriving from
you are on the right path.
If you find a broken link along the way,
where you will find the entire line up.
Now on to my projects!
Today I've got a few projects to show you.
For my first one I've used
"Life is Sweeter" (#9102) from
Here is the front of the card,
just pull on the ribbon at the top and....

you see the sentiment.
I must note that
this sentiment is only part of the image
there is an adorable little girl image that goes with
this sentiment

For my next card I used
"Celtic Background" (#31601) from
I stamped the Celtic Background onto different colored
scraps of card stock, using Versa Mark Ink.
I then punched out varied sizes of circles.
The "hello" was cut with my Silhouette Cameo
I cut the hello several times and glued them on top of each other
to form a sturdy embellishment.
I then cut one from yellow for the top layer.
I used Glossy Accents to finish off the sentiment.
Then it was just a matter of putting the card together.
I love this card, so happy!

My last project is a layout I made about my
Godchild's Christening.
I stamped
"Lg Cross with Flowers" (#13403)  from
onto water color paper and colored it
with water color crayons.
I then fussy cut it for the layout.

I have covered the personal information on the layout with
a piece of white card stock for this post.

All the mats were cut using my Perfect Layers Minis
and my Perfect Cutting Mat from
Every cut is precise and easy using these tools.
Now it's time to go on to
where I'm sure you'll get some great inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll stop again soon.
In the mean time, pop over to
and see what wonderful images these 2 companies have to offer.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

M is for Maynard

Today I wanted to share the piece I made for our home.
I cut this out of black vinyl with my Silhouette Cameo
and put it into a 9" x 9" floating frame.
The vinyl goes on a piece of glass,
another piece goes over the top of it.
The 2 sandwiched pieces go into the frame together and
create a floating design.
I'm very happy with the results.
We haven't decided where we will hang it yet,
but it will be somewhere that people will see it.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you'll come again soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Drinks and Snacks

Hi everyone!
Boy have I been having fun with my
Silhouette Cameo!
I've started using vinyl and boy am I addicted!
The other day I was invited to spend the day with my
sister in law and 3 of my greats.
I don't see them a lot so I was happy to spend the day
at my brother's home with his 3 grand children.
I decided I wanted to take them a little gift so I made up these
cute bottles with snack cups .
Each one has their name and something that they like.
Sami loves Sofia the First who is a
Princess in Training, so I put a crown on her name.

The boys like Jake and the Never Land Pirates.
Oliver got a pirate head bandanna

and Sebastian got a pirate boot.

Aren't these just adorable?!!?
Here you can see how they unscrew
and you can put little snacks in the cup.
Or if you wanted you could use it to drink from.
They will be great for a trip to the park or
even to take into the yard, which is
exactly what we did.
The kids loved them and had to use them right away.

I was thrilled with how they turned out.
They were very inexpensive and easy to make with my
Silhouette.
I'll tell you, I'm loving that machine more every day!

Thanks for stopping by today,
I'm going to be taking a little
vacation from blogging for a couple weeks,
but watch for a fun
Eureka! Stamps/QKR Stampede
Blog Hop at the end of the month.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Add a button challenge

Hi All!
Time for another Eureka! Stamps Challenge.
This week the theme is
"Add A Button"
All the particulars for the challenge can be found at
I have used
"Best Ice Cream" (#20201) from
Eureka! Stamps
Summertime is ice cream time, so I made this
simple card with an ice cream theme and
used buttons as the ice cream.
I scored some kraft card stock
cut it into cone shapes and sanded it a bit.
I simply adhered the button onto the cone with ATG tape
then used the same to stick it to the card.
A card like this would be cute for an invitation
to a party.  Ice cream is always fun.
Thanks for stopping by today,
come again soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
