Eureka! Stamps masculine/grunge challenge

Hello crafty friends!
It's time for another Eureka! Stamps Challenge
This weeks theme is
"Masculine or Grunge"
I decided to make 2 projects for you with this theme.
For my first project I made a card using
"Celtic Background" (#31601) from Eureka! Stamps
 and
"Happy Birthday" (#36314) from Biblical Impressions
a sister company of Eureka! Stamps.
I stamped Celtic Background onto white card stock with VersaMark ink
and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.
I then applied Distress Ink to the entire surface.
The embossing resists the ink leaving a beautiful background.
The Happy Birthday was stamped onto white card stock,
then was cut to size and inked with Distress Inks also.

For my 2nd project, I decided to go outside the box for me
and made a tag.
For this tag I used
"Fern Background" (#58401)
"Feather on Side" (#6303) and
"Tree Losing Leaves" (#34502)
all from Eureka! Stamps

I used the same technique for the background on the tag of
heat embossing and inking.
I then stamped the Feather and Tree onto
hand made paper and tore pieces
and adhered them to the tag.
I haven't yet decided how I will use my tag.
I may use it as part of a card
or on a scrapbook layout
or just as a tag on a gift.

I hope you have been inspired in some way and will join us
for the Eureka! Stamps Challenge this week.
Hop over to the
for all the details and more inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by today,
leave a comment if you will
and come again soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Card for Nikki and Dave

I'm so excited!
My niece is pregnant with her first baby.
I made this 'card' for them using
"Baby Animals" (#40204) and
"Congratulations" (#5507)  from
Since the puzzle has a glossy surface, I used
Staz On ink.
I colored  the images with water color crayons.
To be honest, I wasn't 100% satisfied with the results.
Watercolors don't work best on a glossy surface.
But I do like it.
I broke it apart and put it all into an envelope.
I also bought 2 bibs, one a boy bib and one a girl bib.
I tied them up with a ribbon and wrote
"Either way, I've got you covered"
 on the tag.
I can't wait to find out if they are having a boy or a girl.

Thanks for stopping by today,
come again soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Mother's Day Gift

Hello!
I want to share with you a special gift I made for my Mom.
This was her Mother's Day gift.
Mom lives in an assisted living center,
outside her room there is a place where she can hang a picture,
a sign, a wreath, whatever she likes.
I wanted her to have something pretty showing everyone her family.
I started to create this many months ago, thinking I would make it for Christmas,
but life got crazy and it was put aside.
I finally finished it for Mother's Day
and I have to say, I love how it turned out and so did Mom.
It is now proudly displayed outside her door.
I got the raw wood frame from AC Moore
I used distress inks to color it.
I made these paper flowers with  files from
They are "Rolled Flowers 1,2 and 3"
The leaves are from "Flower and Leaf" cut file.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut them then rolled them by hand.
They were all adhered with hot glue
The veins on the leaves were added with a ball stylus.

Here is a close up of the background on the first "page"
If you click on the pictures you should be able to see the
design a bit better.
I used "Snow Background" (#27301) from Eureka! Stamps

For this page I used
"Heart Background" (#57901) from Eureka! Stamps

This adorable bunny is
"Daydreaming Bunny" (#15209)
he was stamped, colored and fussy cut.
The sentiment is
"Some Bunny" (#10603)
Both these stamps are from
QKR Stampede

For this Easter themed page I used
"Lg Chicks in Egg" (#3406) and
"Bunny with Flowers" (#13407)
both from Eureka! Stamps

"Picking Dandelions" (#31702) and
"Field Grass Left (#38901) from Biblical Impressions

This border was made with
"Tulips" (#28502) from Eureka! Stamps

"Lg Patriotic Star" (#11603) from Eureka! Stamps
was used to create this background

"Sunflower Background" (#35808) from Biblical Impressions
and "Eureka Butterfly" (#9702)
were used to make this summery page

"Shamrock Border" (#40502) from Eureka! Stamps was embossed on this page

Here is a closer look.

"Witch" (#3901) and
"Fall Frame" (#56801) from Eureka! Stamps
were used for this fun Halloween themed 'age

"Fall Frame" (#56801) from Eureka! Stamps was used again
for this page.
For this page I stamped it once and colored it,
above I stamped it twice onto orange paper
I used Pan Pastels and a Tim Holtz Ivy Stencil
to create this background.

For this fun Christmas background I used
"Christmas Balloon" (#16402)
"Reindeer Balloon" (#2602)
"Snowman Balloon" (#11805) and
"Elf Balloon Holder" (#6509)
all from Eureka! Stamps

Up in the Air Challenge

It's time for another
Eureka! Stamps Challenge
and this weeks challenge theme is
"Up in the Air"
Check out the
for all the particulars about the challenge and to join in the fun.
For my card I used
Girl Balloon Holder (#13803)
Daisy Balloon (#13901) and
Flower Balloon (#13903) all from
For my background, I used a cloud template
to create the clouds and sky using Distress Inks.
(Check out the cloud template and instructions here.)
I cut a piece of scratch paper and adhered it with temporary adhesive
along the bottom while I inked the sky.
I then used the top half of the scratch paper to cover the sky while I inked the grass.
For the grass I used Distress Inks and then stamped
Field Grass Left (#38901) from
sister company of Eureka! Stamps
I stamped the flowers and the girl onto white card stock and colored them with
colored pencils and blended with Gamsol, then fussy cut them.
I stamped the girl onto patterned paper
as well as onto a piece of brown paper.
I paper pieced the dress and sash.
The balloons are adhered with foam tape.
I cut around the girls fingers
so it would look like she is holding the strings of the balloon.
I love these balloons and holders!
Eureka! Stamps has a whole line of them and
each is cuter than the last!
I think they are perfect for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today,
I hope you have been inspired in some way
and will join in the challenge fun.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

POW!

Hello crafters!
Today I have a card to show you that I made for my cousin
 who is fighting breast cancer.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to create and cut the
"Superman Emblem" and the "POW"
I'm so proud of the job I did on these
as I'm not very experience with my Cameo
and I created them on my own.

I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the card.
I printed out
"Take THAT cancer!"
and added it inside.
I hope my dear cousin gets some encouragement from my card.

Thanks for stopping by today,
come again soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Mother's Day Flower Challenge

Hello!
The Eureka! Stamps Blog
has a new challenge and this week the theme is
"Mother's Day Flowers"
For my card I've used
"Mixed Bouquet" (#9206) from Eureka! Stamps and
Happy Mother's Day from the
"Happy Birthday" set (#22803) from QKR Stampede
sister company of Eureka! Stamps

I stamped the Mixed Bouquet onto white card stock and colored them with
colored pencils and Gamsol.
I love the way the Gamsol smooths and blends the colors.
I used some blue Distress Ink to lightly color around the bouquet.
All the mats were cut easily and perfectly with my
Perfect Layers Mini Tools and The Perfect Cutting Mat from

I hope you'll play along with the challenge,
