Baby Animals

Good day my friends!

I'm glad you stopped by for a visit.

Today I'm showing you what I made for my

daughter, Kelsie, for her birthday.

I was talking to Sara asking if she had any ideas

for her and she suggested I make a book for her

to have at her house for when Marie visited.

This is what I decided on.

The cover is covered with a piece of paper that I

had made with some of my ink sprays.

I used a stencil to add the elephant and a 

stamp to add the bird.

For the elephant I used 
Color Theory Clean Slate Ink

for the bird I used

Versafine Onyx Black Ink

This is the inside of the cover.

Here are a few of the pages.

I put the name of the animal and what they are

called when they are babies on each page.

I used my 
Brothers P-Touch Label Maker

to add the names to the pages.

Baby animals are so darn cute.

I learned a few things while doing this book.

Did you know that a baby platypus is called a puggle?

Each of these pages is laminated and then are on

a big ring, the pages can be taken off and rearranged

in any order they want.  I'm pretty sure Kelsie will love

it, she loves little animals, especially if they are babies.

Pretty sure Marie is going to love it too.

Welcome Sweet Baby

Hello and Welcome!

Today I'm showing you a new baby card that I made.

The baby that is was sent to is very special, as 

the parents when through a lot to be able to have her.

And she is absolutely beautiful and so very loved.

I used "Baby Animals Stamp" and "Happy Duckling Stamp"

both sold through Stamp On It

I stamped them with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink

and colored them with my 

Fantasia Colored Pencils

then fussy cut them and adhered them to the card.

The "Welcome sweet baby" was stamped with 

individual alpha stamps, but I don't know who they were 

made by.  I then colored them in.

The Baby Animals were adhered to the card with an

Action Wobble.

Card for Nikki and Dave

I'm so excited! 

My niece is pregnant with her first baby.

I made this 'card' for them using 

"Baby Animals" (#40204) and

"Congratulations" (#5507)  from 

Eureka! Stamps

Since the puzzle has a glossy surface, I used 

Staz On ink.

I colored  the images with water color crayons.

To be honest, I wasn't 100% satisfied with the results.

Watercolors don't work best on a glossy surface.

But I do like it.

I broke it apart and put it all into an envelope.

I also bought 2 bibs, one a boy bib and one a girl bib.

I tied them up with a ribbon and wrote

"Either way, I've got you covered" 

 on the tag.

I can't wait to find out if they are having a boy or a girl.

Cute as a Bug!

It's time for another Eureka! Stamps Challenge.

This week the theme is Pregnancy/Baby

I chose to do a double page scrapbook layout

of my daughter when she was a baby. 

I used several different stamps from

Eureka! Stamps

for this project.

All images were colored with FlexMarkers

Many of the images are only a portion of the original image.

I just colored the parts I wanted and fussy cut them.

but I used red rubber stamps for all of mine.

Andrea's Card

I needed a card for a 1 yr. olds birthday.

And who doesn't like baby animals?

They are just so darn cute.

Today I have a card made with 

"Baby Animals" (#40204) from

Eureka! Stamps

I stamped the image onto white card stock

and colored it with FlexMarkers.

The background is some embossed Core'dinations card stock.

I love that stuff!  I sanded it a bit to bring out the lighter pink on the flowers

then added both pieces to the white card base.

Inside, I used the same Core'dinations.

I used a Martha Stewart punch to punch the Happy Birthday twice.

I punched it once as you see here,

then I flipped the card stock to the other side,

which is the lighter pink, and punched it again.

I used ATG tape to adhere them together

and I off set the lighter pink just a bit. 

If you look close you can see that

the lighter pink "outlines" the words to the left.

Baby Animals

Hi everyone and welcome.

Today starts a new challenge on the Eureka! Stamps Blog!

This week our theme for the challenge is "Animals"

 I chose to use

"Baby Animals" (#40204) from Eureka! Stamps

This image comes in red rubber or digital format, as do all the images at Eureka! Stamps.  I prefer using the red rubber stamps, they are wonderful to work with, but there is always the option of digital.

I colored the image with FlexMarkers and inked the edges with Distress inks.

The Core'dinations card stock I used as a mat was embossed with an embossing folder run through the Cuttlebug and sanded with a sanding block.

I also inked the base card with Distress ink.
