I am blessed to have a friend like you.

Hi fans!
A week or so ago, I decided to treat myself to something new.
I don't often buy crafting supplies, because I put myself on a spending diet a long time ago and unlike any regular diet, I haven't gone off this one very often.  But I had a 50% off coupon and I loved this embossing folder, so I gave in and bought it. I'm sorry I don't know the name of this folder, but it is larger than most measuring 5"x7" and it has a matching border embossing folder.
I embossed some Core'dinations card stock and sanded it with a sanding block to bring out the inner color.
I stamped
"I am blessed" (#36313) from Biblical Impressions
onto the same color card stock, adhered it to white card stock and cut it into a banner shape.
This was a very quick and easy card to make the pattern and texture give this card a lot of punch.
Thanks for stopping by today, come again soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Package Tower

Merry Christmas?!?!?!
Yes!  I'm at it again, making Christmas cards.
Today's card is made with
"Package Tower" (#23301) from Eureka! Stamps
I colored this image with FlexMarkers.
I also used a bit of Stickles and Glossy Accents to give some shine, shimmer and sparkle.
The bow is made with some wonderful satin ribbon from May Arts.
I think it adds just the right touch and "wraps up" this card perfectly.
Glad you came by to check out my card today.

Baby Animals

Hi everyone and welcome.
Today starts a new challenge on the Eureka! Stamps Blog!
This week our theme for the challenge is "Animals"
 I chose to use
"Baby Animals" (#40204) from Eureka! Stamps
This image comes in red rubber or digital format, as do all the images at Eureka! Stamps.  I prefer using the red rubber stamps, they are wonderful to work with, but there is always the option of digital.
I colored the image with FlexMarkers and inked the edges with Distress inks.
The Core'dinations card stock I used as a mat was embossed with an embossing folder run through the Cuttlebug and sanded with a sanding block.
I also inked the base card with Distress ink.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoy my card, maybe draw a bit of inspiration from it and join in our challenge.
Be sure to stop by the Eureka! Stamps shop and see all the wonderful images they have to offer.

Pumpkin love

Today is the kick off for the latest QKR Stampede Challenge!
The theme is "Fall Fun"
Be sure to pop over to the QKR Stampede Blog for all the particulars!
Someone's going to win those digital stamps, why not YOU?!?!
I chose to use
"Autumn Friends" (#9206) from QKR Stampede
for my challenge card.
I love these little cuties and colored them with FlexMarkers.
I used an embossing folder and put it through the Cuttlebug for the background.  I then used a sanding block to sand it and bring out the inside color of the Core'dinations card stock.

Here is another picture to show how foam tape gives the image dimension when used to adhere it to the card.
I hope you will be inspired to join the QKR Stampede Challenge,
do some embossing, color an image, make a card or project.
Leave a comment if you will and be sure to check out the fun images that QKR Stampede has to offer in red rubber and digital stamps.

Season of Change

Hello and welcome!
Today I have a card that I made with
"Season of Change" (#35402) from Eureka! Stamps
"Maple Corner" (#34101) from Biblical Impressions
For the leaves I used glossy card stock and alcohol inks.
I used a felt piece on a blending tool and combined a few different colors of ink and copper mixative.  Then applied them to the glossy card stock.
I then stamped the "Maple Corner" image with VersaMark ink and fussy cut the leaves. The leaves actually are a corner image, but I cut it apart to use it in a little different way.
The background was made with Distress inks applied with a foam blending tool.

You can just see a little bit of the shine that they copper mixative gives the ink that I used on the leaves.  Sorry I couldn't get a better picture of it.  It really does shine when you see it 'in real life'

Teapot

Welcome!  How about a spot of tea?
Today's card is made with
"Lg Teapot" (#11702) from Eureka! Stamps
I thought this card would be adorable to send to a friend inviting them to come for a visit or go out for lunch.
Or maybe a thank you for someone's hospitality.
The image was colored with FlexMarkers.
I embossed a scrap of Core'dinations card stock with an embossing folder run through the Cuttlebug and sanded it with a sanding block so the cute little hearts would show a little better and used it for the background.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Leave a comment, if you will and come again soon.
Why not stop in over at Eureka! Stamps and see what they have to offer.

Folded star card

Hi crafty people!
Today I have something a little different for you.
I saw this folded star card on
and just had to try it.
I must say, I love how it turned out.

On the inside I stamped and colored this adorable snowman from Stampendous.  I was lucky enough to win him from Kristine at
I colored the image with FlexMarkers and covered the snowman in Stickles.
Can't have a snowman that doesn't sparkle now can we?
I hope you like my card and will take a look at the blogs of the 2 ladies that inspired me to make this card.  They really are quite amazing.
If you try this folded star card, let me know how it turned out.
I'd love to see how you make yours.

Make new friends

"Make new friends, but keep the old.  One is silver and the other's gold"
Do you remember that song?
I remember singing it in rounds when I was a girl scout.
That's what this image,
"Lg Best Friends Sitting (#5906) from Eureka! Stamps,
reminds me of.
The kids in my area just went back to school about a week ago
and this makes me think of when I was young
and when my kids were young.
Each year we'd wonder about our old friends,
what they did over the summer,
if they were going to be in our classes etc.
As well as if we'd be meeting new friends,
who they would be,
were they new kids to the school
or just to the class?
Some wonderful memories!
So enough reminiscing, about the card.....
I used Distrress inks to make the background of sky and grass.
Then I stamped the image onto that background and also onto a piece of white card stock.
I used a bronze Creative Memories pen to color the bench
and colored the 'friends' with FlexMarkers, then fussy cut them.
I adhered the 'friends' right over the stamped image on the background.
I used a Martha Stewart all around the page punch set for the border.

Thanks for stopping by today, leave a comment if you will and be sure to come and visit again soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

I have chosen to use
"Lady Throwing Leaves" (#22005) from Eureka! Stamps
I think she looks like she's having a ball with those leaves.
And that little puppy looks a bit stunned, doesn't he?
Guess he's not used to all the frivolity.
I stamped the image onto white card stock and colored it with FlexMarkers.

Read All About It challenge.

Hello all!
I hope you're having a wonderful day!
Today I'm showing you a card I made using 2 images from
"Round Ornament" (#83405) and
"Icicle Ornament" (#83406)
has a weekly challenge and this weeks is
"Read all about it"
One of my favorite techniques is to stamp onto pages of old books,
so this was right up my alley.
And since my crafting room is finally finished with the re-do,
I spent some time last night playing around in there.
I colored the images with FlexMarkers then used Distress ink , crumpled the page a little but and used a little more Distress ink.
I wanted a bit of a vintage feel and I think I got it.
Stickles were added for a little sparkle and shine.
I used a silver card stock for a mat.
I used the same Distress ink on a white card stock base, then used VersaFine ink to stamp the tree needles from the top of the "round ornament" onto the base.
I'm entering this card into the challenge over at
so keep your fingers crossed for me.
Someone's going to win, maybe it will be me.
Thanks for stopping in to visit, come again soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Track Star

Welcome to my post for the QKR Stampede Challenge!
Our theme this week is "Back to School"
For this card I used
"Sneakers" (#12706) from QKR Stampede
I thought this card would be fun to send to someone who has just made the track team or tennis team or any athletic team.
I stamped the Sneakers image onto gray card stock and colored it with FlexMarkers.  The shoelaces were colored with white gel pen.
For the background I used Distress inks.
The "track" was made by running brown card stock through the Cuttlebug in an embossing folder and inking the raised areas with Distress ink.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you will stop by the

Give Thanks

Hello!  Welcome!
Today I have a card that I have made with
"Pumpkin Vine" (#18802) from  QKR Stampede and
"Give Thanks" (#34109) from Biblical Impressions
QKR Stampede and Biblical Impressions are sister companies and they both have tons of fabulous images.  QKR Stampede offers their images in both unmounted red rubber as well as in digital format.
At this time Biblical Impressions does not offer digital format.
All my stamping has been done with rubber stamps.

I stamped Pumpkin Vine onto the gold card stock and colored it with FlexMarkers.  I stamped the image again and colored the leaves and fussy cut 3 of them.  I used foam tape to add them to the bottom of the card.

For the base card, I used white card stock and inked it with some distress inks.  I also used some distress ink on the gold piece on the torn edge.

The Give thanks sentiment is only part of the sentiment.
The entire sentiment is "Give thanks to the Lord"
I masked off the "to the Lord" with a post it note, inked up the stamp, then removed the post it before stamping.
I do sometimes cut my sentiment stamps apart to use them like this, but this particular sentiment is simple to mask.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card and that you will come back soon.
Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Leaves

Hello blog friends!
Today I'm showing you a card made with one of my favorite
QKR Stampede images.
"Leaf" (#3901) was one of the first stamps I got from QKR and it has remained one of my favorites.
I stamped the image onto white card stock with VersaMark ink
then embossed them with white embossing powder.
I used Distress inks to color the leaves, then fussy cut them.
The green diamond design was done by positioning a piece of acrylic, inking with Distress ink, moving the acrylic, inking again and so on until I had covered the entire sheet.
It was then cut to size for the card.
The base card is also white card stock and I inked the edges of it also.

Here is a close up of the leaves so you can see the detail a bit better.
The white ribbon is from May Arts Ribbon
and the button is one from my stash, as is the embroidery floss.

I hope you like my card and may be inspired to try some embossing, some inking or maybe just some stamping.
Be sure to hop over to the QKR Stampede store and see all the fabulous image they have to offer in red rubber or digital format.
Also check out the QKR Stampede Blog and see the challenge going on there.  We have a new challenge every week, so pop in and check it out and also see what wonderful things the design team has to show you.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
