Party Poopers Birthday Card adn a Fishy Envelope

Hi Everyone!
Today I have a card to show you.
Recently a mom in a group I'm in on Facebook
posted that he twins are turning 6 yrs old and that they
love opening mail.  She asked if anyone would be
willing to send them cards for their birthday, just so they
would have them to open from the mail.
Being a card maker, I was happy to help out.
This is the card I made for her little guy.
The background piece was made with alcohol inks
I thought it was a great background for a celebration.
The dogs are Party Poopers
I stamped the image with
and colored them with colored pencils.
I fussy cut the image and adhered it to the background
with foam tape to give it a little dimension.
I stamped the Celebrate with an alpha stamp set
from my stash, I have no idea what company they are from.
I then fussy cut around it to make a banner shape.
The whole thing was then adhered to a white card base.
Inside I simply stamped "Happy Birthday"
I made the envelope with my
and decided to decorate it.
I stamped the fish onto the envelope, then stamped them
onto scrap paper and fussy cut them to make a mask.
I put the mask over the fish (Sm Fat Fish & Lg Fat Fish)
and used Distress Inks to
apply the 'water' to the envelope.
After taking the masks off the fish I colored them with
colored pencils.
I covered the colored areas with
which is a glaze that makes it water resistant,
so the inks and coloring won't be ruined if they get wet.
I think the little guy will get a kick out of receiving
this in the mail.

Thanks for spending time with me today,
I hope you have enjoyed it here at
Kristie Kreates
and will come again soon.
Next up, the card I made for the other twin.

Hello crafty friends!

for a card drive.
These are for a non profit called
they help people who have dogs with cancer.
They are in need of cards to send as encourangment,
sympathy and thanks.
These are the 2 that I made.
I stamped "Dorky Bird" with
and colored it with colored pencils.
This image was stamped and colored the way as the
card above.  The image is

Party Poopers Card

Hi everyone!
I need a card for my great nephew's birthday,
since he loves animals, I thought this would be the
perfect card for him.  He'll be 3 yrs old on the 17th.
I stamped
from Stamp On It
onto watercolor paper and colored it with my
I stamped the golden dog and the black and white one
again onto scrap pieces and colored them the same as
the original.
I fussy cut the extra images.
The black and white dog is adhered over the original with
foam tape.  The golden one is adhered with a
The background was also colored with water color crayons.
I hope this video works for you, sometimes it does
and sometimes it doesn't, but I can't figure out why or
how to fix that.
Inside I stamped this Happy Birthday sentiment
with a stamp that I took off a wood block, so
I don't know what company it is from.
I colored it with colored pencils.
I think Emmett will love this card, especially since it
has the movement of the action wobbler.

Thanks for stopping by today,
I hope you'll come again soon.
Until then,
try making something a little interactive.

Party Poopers

Hello all!

Today I have a card to show you that I made for a challenge on one of my favorite blogs, Going Buggy.
Each month Enfys posts a challenge and I have been saying that I'm going to do the challenge, but I haven't before.
I always have good intentions,
but I am so bad at getting challenges done.
Well surprise!  This month I did it!
The challenge was to make a card for a child.
Here is my card.
I used "Party Poopers" (#14303) from Eureka Stamps
I colored the image with my FlexMarkers (which I love working with)
I layered it onto some red card stock from my scrap stash and added the bit of ribbon and the balloon brad, then adhered it to a card base covered with some fun polka dot paper.

I had a lot of fun making this card.  I hope you'll pop on over to
and see all the cards entered into the challenge
and maybe you'll join in too.
Be sure to check Enfys' other posts, I'm sure you'll enjoy them.

Thanks for stopping by today, leave a comment if you will and come again soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

When I saw "Party Poopers" (#14303) in the Eureka! Stamps store, I knew I would love working with it.  Are these little guys cute or what?!?!

They were stamped onto white card stock and colored with Copic markers, fussy cut and adhered with foam tape to the colored card stock.
Brads were added as accents and it all was layered together onto a cream card stock base.

There are many adorable dog and cat images in the Eureka! Store, so once you are finished hopping here, hop on over and check them out.
For now, hop over to
where I'm sure you will find something wonderful to inspire you.
