Father's Day Card

Hello everyone!
Welcome to my blog, so glad you have stopped
by today.
Today I'm showing you the card I made for my
son for Father's Day.
He daughter, Marie Cathrine, is due to be born in November,
so I wanted to give him a little something to celebrate
Father's Day.

He and Sara have 2 cats, so I thought this
Crazy Kitty Set would be perfect for his card.
I stamped it with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and
colored it with colored pencils.
For his gift I found a lovely frame
that says
"I loved you before I met you"
I thought it would be perfect
for a picture of him and Marie.

Thanks for stopping today,
I hope you had a wonderful Father's Day.
Come again soon.
Until then, tell a father how important he is.

Sara's Birthday

Hello!
Today I'm showing you a card I made for a special young
lady, my son's fiance, Sara.
She just celebrated her birthday at the first of the month
and I made this card for her.
I knew I wanted to use that kitty stamp for her card,
as she is a cat lover and I knew she'd love it.
I stamped "Crazy Kitty Set" sold through
Stamp On It onto white card stock with
I then used washi tape to make stripes on the card stock,
and inked the card stock with Distress Ink, carefully removed the
washi tape and had a striped background,
Purple is Sara's favorite color, so this was perfect for her.
The "Peeking in to say" was stamped with a
"Happy Birthday" is also from
Stamp On It.

Kitty Cards

Hello everyone!
Today I have 2 cards I made, a little different,
yet mostly the same.
Someone very close to me was diagnosed with breast cancer
recently and I wanted to send a card letting her know
I'm thinking of her.
I made this "big hugs" card for her and wrote a personal
note inside.
The cat image is stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black  ink,
I colored the cats, on both cards, with
colored pencils and blended with Gamsol.
The background was painted by scribbling some
water color crayon onto an acrylic block and
mixing it with water, then painting it on with a
I also made the envelopes since the cards are
not a standard size.  I used my
to make the envelopes for both cards.
This second card I made for my Aunt Marilyn who
will be 93 at the end of September.
She loves cats and I know she will get a kick out of this
card. I can hear her now, exclaiming how cute the cat is.
The cat image is

I have linked many of the supplies I used,
I did not necessarily purchase them from the linked
sites. I only use them for reference for you to
see the supplies.
You may very well find these supplies at
many other sites and maybe at better prices,
just do a little research.

Thanks for stopping by today,
I hope you have enjoyed my cards as
much as I enjoyed making them.
Come again soon.
Until then, Happy Crafting!

Get Well Card

Welcome bloggy friends!
Today I'm showing you a get well card that I made for a fellow crafter.
Doris comes to My Happy Place from time to time and her daughter, Jen is one of our regulars, who I have become good friends with.
Doris recently suffered a heart attack and I wanted to send her a card,
so I made this one for her.
For this card I used
"Crazy Kitty Set" (#32111)
and "Thinking of you" which is from a set I borrowed from a friend,
I believe it was by Inkadinkado.
"Crazy Kitty Set" come with this adorable cat and paws.
I stamped him onto white cardstock and colored him with FlexMarkers
and I think he is just adorable.
Inside I used some white cardstock and punched he edge with an
EK Success border punch.
I hand wrote " Peeking in to say I hope you are feeling better every day."
I sure hope Doris likes her card. I think she will, she is an animal lover and she loves handmade cards.  How could I go wrong?
Thanks for stopping by today, leave a comment if you will.
Come again soon!
Until next time, Happy Crafting!
