My Other Pages

To make it easier to read about our trip to Ireland, I have made a page that is just for that. There is a tab above for Ireland Trip 2014 or click on the Home tab to read my other posts. I have also created a new page for My Weight Loss Journey if you are interested in that, click on the tab above.

Happy Mistake

Earlier this week, I posted my card for the
using "Small Lacy Butterfly" (58902) from
When I was working on that card, I colored this same image with
water color crayons.  I liked the way it turned out, but when I went to put it onto the card, I didn't like the combination of colors with the papers I had used on the card base.
So I colored another image and used that.
You know my motto,
"There are no mistakes, just chances to be more creative"
So I made this little note card.
I used my Score Buddy to emboss the lines on the card base and the yellow panel.
I adhered the butterfly body with some glue and curled the wings out a bit.
The 'trail' was drawn with a Zig pen.
So this "mistake" didn't turn out to be a mistake after all!

Small Lacy Butterfly

Hello stamping and crafty friends!
Today I'm showing you a card that I made using
"Small Lacy Butterfly" (#58902)
I stamped the image onto a page of an old book and colored it with FlexMarkers (alcohol ink markers)
I punched several strips with a EK Success border punch
and inked them with brown ink.
I layered the scalloped strips onto a white card base for about 1/2 of the card, then covered the rest with another piece of a page.
I stamped the "Small Lacy Butterfly" onto the card.

After I fussy cut the colored image, I adhered it onto the card right over the stamped image on the card.
I lifted the wings up a bit to give it the look of flying off the card.

Eureka! Stamps has many wonderful butterfly images to choose from in red rubber and digital, so there is something for everyone.

Thanks for stopping by today,
leave a comment if you will and come back soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
