My Other Pages

To make it easier to read about our trip to Ireland, I have made a page that is just for that. There is a tab above for Ireland Trip 2014 or click on the Home tab to read my other posts. I have also created a new page for My Weight Loss Journey if you are interested in that, click on the tab above.

You are my Sunshine

I finally got a little time to get into my crafting room and make some cards with a few of the images I colored with my Aqua Crayons while I was rehabing from my hip replacement.

This first card really reinforced what I am always telling people at scrapbooking: "There are no mistakes, just opportunities to be creative." I say that because I got the whole card put together and found that I had done it upside down, the card was opening at the top. Okay, what to do? I cut the front off the card and mounted it onto the brown cardstock. I can't tell you what company these papers are from as they were all scraps. The stamps are ones I won from QKR Stampede on one of their blog hops. I used Kaliedacolor Autumn colors inkpad for the sentiment.
My 2nd card, I used the same stamps Patchwork Sun and My Sunshine.
This time I stamped with Kaleidacolor Birthstone ink pad.
This last one is a tag that I intend to use on a scrapbook layout. I thought it would be really cute on a page with pictures of my kids. I used to sing You Are My Sunshine to them when they were little. This tag is one that I had cut a long time ago from some Mulberry paper and just had on hand. I used a PowderPuff Chalking Ink that I got at CKC Convention last year with a project I did at the Quick Quotes booth. It's a very nice soft brown, that I believe was discontinued.
Thanks for stopping by to see what's going on in my crafting life, and as always feel free to leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Until next time, happy crafting!

Oh I just love the sunshine image! You have inspired me to pull out my Kaleidacolor pads too. I HAD to have them, and never use them. They look so good here!

Kristie--these are all GREAT projects! So glad that you are able to get back into your craft room and work with the images you colored while recuperating and rehabilitating. Such cute ways to use that Patchwork Sun and love the added clouds on the second card. I liked how you used the Kaleidacolor pads for the sentiment -- great way to tie all the colors together!! I agree with you there are no mistakes . . . I call those moments "creative springboards"!! Looking forward to seeing you on the Hop this Friday!!
