My Other Pages

To make it easier to read about our trip to Ireland, I have made a page that is just for that. There is a tab above for Ireland Trip 2014 or click on the Home tab to read my other posts. I have also created a new page for My Weight Loss Journey if you are interested in that, click on the tab above.

Taking a leave for a bit!

Hello blog friends!
I know many of you have been checking in and I'm sorry
there hasn't been much posted lately.
I'll be taking a leave from blogging for a little while.
I'm having a hip replacement on June 1st and will be
unable to do much crafting and posting for a little bit.
I may pop in now and then a post something,
so check back now and then.
Thanks for your support!
See you again soon.
Keep creating!

Puzzle pieces

I recently told you about a shower that I helped to give for
my new great nephew.
Here was my contribution to the decoration.
The theme was "Our Missing Piece"
I made these puzzle pieces with the baby's pictures
I downloaded the file from Birds Cards to my
Silhouette Design Program.
I printed the pictures as well as a thank you message
that is on the back of each puzzle piece with my ink jet printer.
Then cut them using my Silhouette Cameo.
Each place setting had one of these for the guest to
take home with them.
To respect their privacy I have covered the faces, but
you get the idea.  They are much cuter when you can see
what a beautiful baby he is.

I made them in 3 different colors, which were the
colors for the shower and also his bedroom colors.
I love how they turned out and everyone seemed to love
having a picture to take home with them.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you have been inspired in some way.
Hope you are having a better than average day!

Shower

Hello crafty people!
Today I'm showing you some things from the shower
we gave for my new great nephew.
In March y nephew and niece were blessed with a little boy.
They adopted Emmett and he is a miracle as far as I am
concerned.  We had a baby shower for them this past week
with the theme of "Our Missing Piece"
I used a plain brown shopping bag to wrap his gift,
I'm all about recycling and reusing.
I put his picture into the center piece of a puzzle,
which I downloaded from Birds Cards
and printed it onto white card stock.
Of course his face wasn't blurred on the actual
gift, but I did this to respect their privacy online.
The centerpieces were vases filled with
puzzle pieces in the colors of the shower theme
with coordinating tissue flowers.
The cake was adorable.
The favors were puzzle piece cookies in the shower colors.
We all had a great time at the shower celebrating a
beautiful new addition to our family.
Soon, I'll post some pictures of what I made to
decorate for the shower, so come again soon.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a
blessed day!

Grab Bags

This past weekend my friends Jen, Danielle and I
hosted a weekend long scrapbooking crop.
There were 20 of us gathered at
for a weekend filled with crafting fun and socializing.
We always have some fun games and I took care of
getting the prizes together.
I made 8 grab bags as prizes,
and of course, I couldn't leave them as plain brown bags.
I used 4 different flower stamps.
I stamped and colored them on pages of an old book
then adhered them to white card stock and simply
stapled them to the tops of the bags.

I think they turned out very pretty.
For the "big" prizes I simply make tags.
I forgot to take pictures of the prize "baskets"
but at least I did take pictures of the tags.
They were stamped onto book pages and mounted on
card stock.
Easy peasy!
I think the ladies at the crop liked them all.
And we did have a wonderful time.
What I did I do at the crop?
I'll show you that in another post soon.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a wonderful day!
I hope you are having wonderful weather
like we are in the Western New York area.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
