The striped background paper is some that I made. I so enjoyed doing this. First, I cut some white cardstock. Next I adhered it to my cutting mat with repositionable tape. I then used the measurements on the mat to lay down some wide Scor-tape (1/2" wide) at equal intervals (1/2"). Next I used the narrow Scor-tape (1/8" wide) and placed that the same way, between the wider tape. I rubbed the cardstock with my Embossing Buddy to remove any static (a dryer sheet also works well) I pulled the backing off the wide Scor-tape exposing the adhesive and poured on the red Fun Flock, being sure to pat it down onto the adhesive. Once this was done, I shook off the extra Fun Flock and poured it back into the jar. Then I repeated the process with the green Fun Flock.
I cut out the owl and used Stickles on the hat and candy cane. I used Glossy Accents on his glasses to make them look like glass.
Once everything was good and dry I used foam tape to adhere him to the flocked paper. Once that was adhered to the green cardstock, I tied the ribbon around it to finish it off. I wrote the Happy Holidays with a Zig pen.
I love this card! I had so much fun making the striped, flocked paper. Now I'm looking for some more ideas that I can use this technique for. I've made some with glitter and it is just beautiful. Now what to use it for?!?!

Super cute card, Kristie!! Love all the little extra details you added. I haven't tried that flocking technique yet . . . one day . . . some day! LOL You did a fantastic job with it! You're certainly giving QKR a lot of nice samples for its first convention!
