Bear Hugs

Hello all and welcome to my blog!

Today I'm showing you a card I made using "Bear Hugs" (#15007) from
The background was done with Pan Pastels.  This isn't the best background I've ever seen, but it was my first attempt at this type of creation.

For the Bears I stamped them onto kraft card stock then again onto the different papers that I used to piece the vest and patches.  I fussy cut the bear then the other pieces and used Tombow Mono Multi Glue to adhere them.
I learned a trick for small pieces from my friend Roxie.  I used a stick pin to put a small amount of glue onto those itty bitty pieces, placed them down and slid the pin out, leaving the tiny pieces in just the right place.  This works so much better than trying to put them on with fingers that get all sticky.  ~Thanks Roxie!

The bears are mounted to the card with foam tape, which gives them that little extra bit of dimension.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Come back again soon!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

I have tried numerous time to comment on your blog and Blogger won't let me comment anywhere but I found a solution to the problem so we shall see!!!

Loved this scene with the teddy bears enjoying the sunset, very cute setting!

I too have two scoring boards and the second (Martha Stewart) was because it was only $10.00. I figured there were enough differences to Scor-Pal that it would be worth it, I like the distance of lines on the SP but like the 1/8" distance for double scor grids On the MS model and I'm sure that envelope template will come in handy once I use up those dollar store envelopes...in five years! I bought out the store enventory...TWICE!
