My Other Pages

To make it easier to read about our trip to Ireland, I have made a page that is just for that. There is a tab above for Ireland Trip 2014 or click on the Home tab to read my other posts. I have also created a new page for My Weight Loss Journey if you are interested in that, click on the tab above.

Sorry Crafty Peeps!

 Hello all my crafty peeps!

I'm sorry I haven't been around much in the last few weeks.
Things have been a little hectic in my life and unfortunately,
Kristie Kreates has suffered.

Many of you know that a friend and I run a scrapbooking and
crafting studio called My Happy Place.
It's been going for over 17 yrs and it's come to the time
for us to close our doors.
We are sad about it, but it's time.
We are still going to have our 3 day crops, so
we'll be able to see our crafty friends now and then,
but our dedicated space will be let go.
Because we are closing, I have had to clear out my
personal supplies, as well as all the MHP supplies.
We'll have a big "garage sale" at the end of May,
so hopefully we will sell a lot of the things I have purged.
Because I need to bring home all of these supplies, that means
I need to purge here at home too.
Then I will have space for my best goodies.

On top of that, I had just started to purge and reorganize my
kitchen.  It's a huge project and it's going slow, but sure.

I have so many projects I want to get done and there
aren't enough hours in the day or days in the week.

Hopefully, I'll get back to posting some of the things I have
created soon.
For now, here are a couple pictures of my sweet
grand babies to make you smile.
Here's Marie, ready for
Crazy Hair Day at school

And our handsome Asher with Mommy, Sara.

taking a walk together.

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully,
you'll keep coming by.
You never know when I'll be posting something fun.
Until then,
keep creating.

Asher Layouts

Hi y'all!
Thanks for stopping by today.
I have a few layouts that I recently put together of my
grandson, Asher.
He's getting pretty close to a year old, so you can see
I'm a little behind in my scrapbooking.  At least I've
gotten a bit done though.
I love this layout of Asher with Sara.
It's very tough for me to leave "white space" on
my layouts, but sometimes, a picture just needs it's own
simple page.
This one is of Asher visiting with family and friends.
Marie loves her baby brother, which is
evident in these pictures.
"Every girl's crazy bout a sharp dressed man"
Isn't he just the most handsome little man?

I'm so glad you stopped by today and I hope you
have enjoyed your time here and will come again soon.
Until then,
love a baby!

Elephant Hat and One Month Old

Hello crafty people!
If you've been following me for a while, you know I have
a couple precious grandchildren.
Asher was just born in June and is a real sweetie.
Before he was born I got a message from Sara with a picture and
a link to a pattern for an elephant hat.
I know that was a big hint, so of course, I decided to make one for Asher.
I took it over and when we took some 1 month old pictures, we
also took a few with his elephant hat.
He and Marie look happy with the whole photo shoot.
Unfortunately, he is growing by leaps and bounds
already and the hat barely fit him,
but we did get a few cute pictures.
The hat isn't perfect, but it's pretty darn cute,
just wish I could have gotten more pictures,
but it just didn't want to stay on his head.
Here is one of his "one month" pictures.
Already a Buffalo Bills fan!
A couple days later he had his 1 month check up and
no wonder the hat didn't fit, his head has gone from
14.5" to 15.25" already.
If anyone is interested, here is where we found the pattern
I didn't add the ear flaps, as you can see from
the picture with the pattern, as I knew he wouldn't be
wearing it in cold weather.
Now to make the other one that Sara messaged me about.
We'll see how that goes with these old arthritic hands.

Thanks for spending some time with me today,
I hope you have been inspired in some way.
Come again soon, until then,
take a hint from someone and make them
something nice.
