Hello all you bloggie friends!
I hope y'all had a wonderful Mother's Day!
One of the gals suggested a Mother's Day Swap. We each got the name of one of the other gals and made a gift for her.
Today I'm sharing the project that I made for my friend Sunni.
Quite a while ago, I found a whole bunch of little houses at one of the craft stores and picked them up. They are made of chipboard and are filled with something to give them a bit of weight so they can stand up.
I've had them for a while and hadn't used any of them and decided I would use one for Sunni's gift.
Below is the 'mini-album' I made.
For the front of the house I used a tan colored paper, then tore 'bricks' and glued them to the front of the house. I used white card stock for the door, embossed some panels on the door and used a brad for the doorknob.
The 2nd floor windows were cut from card stock. I used acetate for the windows and fabric for the curtains
Each page of the book has space for pictures and/or journalling. This one has a pocket with a tag.
You can't see them in the picture, but the left side page has some 'popped up' flowers, the right side has a little tag book.
Here is a closer picture of the tag book. Each page is embellished with flowers that match the paper.
This picture isn't as good as it could be, those buttons actually do match the paper.
I used a border punch on the bottom of these mats.
Purple 'pearls' bling up these pages a little bit.
These two pages are decorated with glittery stickers.
On these pages, I made little pockets with mats that pull out for pictures or journalling. I embossed lines around the edges for a little definition.
For the roof of the house, I used a scalloped border punch and layered the strips on like shingles. Turned out really cute.
Here is the back of the house. I also added a piece on the back saying who that it was made for Sunni by me.
I hope Sunni enjoys this little house mini for years to come.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you like my little house mini. Leave me a comment letting me know what you think.
Come again soon!
Until next time, Happy Crafting!
