My Other Pages

To make it easier to read about our trip to Ireland, I have made a page that is just for that. There is a tab above for Ireland Trip 2014 or click on the Home tab to read my other posts. I have also created a new page for My Weight Loss Journey if you are interested in that, click on the tab above.

Friends Challenge

Time for another
Eureka! Stamps Challenge
This weeks challenge is
"Friends"
I made my card with 2 images from
"Flower Balloon" (#13903) and
"Daisy Balloon" (#13901)
I also used
"Life is Good" (#16307) from
a sister company of Eureka! Stamps

I stamped the flower images onto white card stock,
colored them with Inktense Pencils
and fussy cut them.
I tore a page out of an old book that I keep just for this purpose,
stamped the same images along the edge of the page,
then glued the colored flowers on top of the
ones stamped on the page and cut around them.
I used Distress ink on the edges of the book page
to bring in a bit of color.
The sentiment was stamped onto the same cream colored card stock
as the base of the card and again, inked with Distress ink
then adhered to the front of the card with foam tape.
Inside I will probably add a something like
"with a friend like you"

Thanks for stopping by today,
I hope you were inspired in some way.
Maybe you'll used old book pages to stamp on,
Maybe you'll do some fussy cutting,
Maybe you'll "alter" a stamp like I did by
cutting off the bottom of the "balloons"
or cut a stamp into pieces and rearrange it.
Life is Good came in one piece, but it was too wide
for my card, so I cut it into pieces and rearranged it.

Be sure to stop by the
and get all the particulars about the challenge
along with more inspiration pieces and
join the fun.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Kristie, this is beautiful! I love the old book background and the two different flowers you used.

I wish we lived close enough to get together to color.... and fussy cut. I am sure fussy cutting would be more fun if I were chatting chatting with a friend while cutting!! :-)

Love the page-torn-from-the-book background. What great designer paper it makes! The row of pretty flowers along the side along with the sentiment make such a beautiful card.
