Family Tee Shirts #2

Hello!
I hope you are having a lovely day.
Today I'm showing you some more of the shirts
I made for my family for Christmas 2024.
This shirt was for my son in law,
the grand kids love their Uncle Brad and
he is definitely a "funkle"
I made this one for my daughter in law, Sara.
She is a big Buffalo Bills fan and of course,
Josh Allen is a favorite of ours.
I'm pretty proud of this one, as it was
quite a project to get the jumping Josh
just right.
This one was for my daughter, Kelsie.
She laughed when she saw it and loves it.
It's soooo her!
These are couple more
Just Joshin'
shirts I made after Christmas for Sara's Moms.
When they saw hers, they wanted their own,
so Sara had me make them for them.

Thanks for stopping in today,
I hope you enjoy what I have shown you
and are inspired in some way.
Come again soon,
you never know what you'll see on
Kristie Kreates.

Special Order Shirts

Good day!
When my cousin's wife messaged me and asked if
I could make some special order shirts for them
for Christmas, I was up for the job.
They needed 13 shirts all with different images
and names on them.
Each person has a nickname and that was to be
on the back of the shirt and on the front an image
to represent their name.
She gave me permission to create them with
whatever I thought up, although they did give me
some ideas.
Here are a few of those shirts
This was for Sarah, whose nick name is
below.
I love how it turned out.
The color is actually the color in the first picture,
don't know why it looks so different.
I don't really know if Babeless Chaps is some
character or what, but these chaps was
the best I could do for this name.
They did turn out good though.

My cousin's name is Carla and we used to call her
Car all the time when we were young.
Her nickname is Car-Car.
She used to own a white Mustang convertible, so I found
one that I could create for her shirt and put
2 of them on the front of the shirt.

Shantelle  is called Shani.
They suggested this pop for her shirt.
I had never heard of it, but found pictures online.
It's a berry flavored pop that isn't sold in the US.

Another character I'd never heard of is
Doop, but there were plenty of pictures online.
Apparently this character has to do with with
Marvel comics.

Sofia is called Soap,
so a bar of soap it was.
Thanks for stopping by today,
I'll have another post soon, showing
the rest of the shirts.
I hope you'll come back to see what else
I've been up to.
Until then,
have fun crafting, no matter what kind
of crafts you do.

Blankets for Marie and Asher

Good day crafty people!
Today I'm showing you two of my favorite
gifts that I made for Christmas.
Back in September, I posted about making my
grandkids each a pillow.
Not long after that, Marie asked me to make her
a blanket.
She specifically wanted it to be pink, purple, pink, purple.
I told her I couldn't make one, because I didn't have the
yarn for it.
Of course I got the yarn and started on it right away.
Her favorite color is "dark pink" so I went with that
and a variety of other shades of pink and purple.
She was thrilled with her new blanket when she
got it on Christmas.  She said it was "exactly what she wanted"
Of course, I had to make one for Asher too.
His matches the pillow I made for him.
That variegated blue is what his pillow is
crocheted from.
He was very excited about his new blanket from
G-Ma.
These 2 are so appreciative of everything I make
for them and love it, no matter what I make.
They are the sweetest kids ever!

Thanks for stopping by today,
I hope you've been inspired in some way
and will come again soon.
Until then,
surprise someone with something you
make for them.

Loaf Cats

Hello and Happy 2025!
I will be posting a lot of gifts that I made for
people for Christmas and here is my first for the
new year.
Kelsie told me one day that she had seen a
crocheted cat that looked like one of their cats, but didn't
buy it.  When she went back later, it had been sold.
I said what I often say, "I can make that."
So I found a pattern for "loaf cats" and
crocheted 3 of them.  Each one looks like one of their cats.

These were a gift for my son in law, Brad.
Dave wrapped them in a bag, so when Brad pulled out the
tissue, he would see his cats looking out at him.
As you can see, he loved them.
This is Iris, she's their ginger,
with some white on her chest and belly.
Here are the pictures I had to work from.
Sheba is a mix of gray and browns.
with a bit of white mixed in.
Here's a picture of Sheba.
This is their "fat cat"  Cora.
She is a really good sized cat, about 20 lb. and
as they say, she has no butt.
This is Cora.
She's so ladylike!
Brad was thrilled with these cats,
he said they are prefect and I got the sizes
just right.
It was a fun gift to make and I'm so
happy that he loved them.

Thanks for stopping by to see what I've been up to.
I hope you have been inspired in some way and
will come again soon.
I'll be posting more of the gifts I made very soon.
Until next time,
create something fun.

If you are interested in making some loaf cats,
just google "pattern for loaf cat" and you'll find many.

Afghans

Hi everyone!
So here's my story about these 2 afghans.
My daughter told me she'd like an afghan for Christmas,
but she wanted it to be one with holes so it wouldn't be
too warm for her.  She even sent me a picture of the one her
boyfriend has, so I'd know what she was talking about.
Well, being me, I needed to do something with a pattern,
so I made up this pattern.

I love how it turned out.

I even edged it with the variegated yarn.
Well, then I realized that this thing was beautiful,
but it was way heavier than she wanted.
Soooooooooooo

I had gotten some other yarn already that was
similar in colors and I made her another one.
This one is really just what she was asking for,
and I think she'll love it.
I decided that she should have both of them,
one for when she doesn't need a heavy one
and one for when it's really cold in the house
and she needs extra warmth.
I know I'm a crazy Mom,
but what can I say?
I want my girl to be happy,
AND warm!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out my
Christmas gifts that I made this year,
come again soon,  I'll be posting more.
Until then,
relax and enjoy the season.

His and Hers

Hello!
I hope you had a lovely Christmas.
Now that Christmas has passed, I'm free to share
some gifts that I made.
Well, this one I helped make.
My daughter wanted to make a beer mug and a
wine glass for her friends with specific messages
on them.
So, of course, Mom offered to help.
We chose a font that she liked and cut vinyl stencils with
my Silhouette.  Once it was cut, we removed all the letters.
We then covered the stencil with transfer tape.
Removed the vinyl from it's backing sheet and
stuck it to the glass.
This one was a bit harder since it was on a
wine glass that was curved.
The other one went on much easier since it
was on a mug that was straight up and down.
The transfer tape was then removed and we
had the stencils ready to go.
We used Armour Etch
to etch the glass.
You can purchase this in most craft stores.
It really is an easy process,
just spread the cream over the stencil and let it
sit for a while.
Check the instructions for the length of time
you should leave the etching cream on the
surface.
We left ours on for 10-15 minutes.
You can see you don't have to be neat about it, just
dab it on and leave it.
But do be careful, this is a strong chemical mixture
which can cause irritation to the skin and burning.
Be Careful!
Then just simply run it under water and clean the
etching cream off the project.
Peel the vinyl off  and you have an etched
surface.
Here is how the beer mug turned out.
And the wine glass.
I'm sorry for the poor pictures.
It is very difficult to get a good picture
of the etching.
I'm sure her friends will like these,
especially since she took the time to make
them especially for them.

Thanks for popping in today,
I hope you'll be back soon.
I'll be showing y'all some of the other
Christmas gifts I made.
Until then,
I wish you the warm days
and happy times.
