My Other Pages

To make it easier to read about our trip to Ireland, I have made a page that is just for that. There is a tab above for Ireland Trip 2014 or click on the Home tab to read my other posts. I have also created a new page for My Weight Loss Journey if you are interested in that, click on the tab above.

Gifts for the Twinkies

Hello!  I hope you are having a lovely day!
Today I have a couple gifts I crocheted to show you.
We have a cousin that has twin girls, they call them
the Twinkies.  Dave was going to visit them
and asked if I could make something for him to
take to them as a gift.
Jaryd and Sara had given me this book a few years ago
as a gift and I have been making animals for the
grandkids ever since.
I decided to make a couple animals for the Twinkies.
I made this robin bird for one,
and this jelly fish for the other.
I don't know which twin got which,
but Dave said they loved them.
I'm thinking they will probably share them
with each other.
I really enjoy making these
arigurumi animals
and am working on a couple more
for Marie and Asher for Easter.
I'll be posting about the ones I made them
for Valentine's Day soon.

Thanks for spending some time here today,
I hope you enjoyed your visit.
Do you crochet?
If you do, have you made any animals?
If you haven't, give it a try and if you don't crochet,
there is no time like the present to learn.
Hope to see you again soon.

Zoo Animal Balloon Card

Hello Blog friends!
My beautiful granddaughter turned one
in November and I made this card for her
birthday,  I had a lot of fun with it and
I think everyone loved it.
has a whole line of these balloon
stamps and holders. I got them all when
I was on the Eureka Stamps design team
years ago.
I stamped them all with VersaFine Black Onyx Ink
and colored them with my Arteza colored pencils.
Then I fussy cut each one and adhered them to
the background paper with foam tape.
Each balloon has a piece of twine attached
and held by the little girl.
I love how this card turned out,
we love taking Marie to the zoo,
so I thought this was a perfect card for her.

Thanks for stopping in today,
I hope all is going well with you and yours.
Come again soon,
until then;
Stay safe and stay healthy!

I didn't necessarily purchase from these sites,

Noah balloon update.

Hello there!

I just wanted to pop in and show you an update on my Noah holder and balloon project.
My husband is a photographer and custom framer, so I asked him to frame this piece for me and I think it came out just fabulous.

How cute would this be in a child's room?!?!

Check out these and many more holders and balloons at Eureka! Stamps.
"Go Shopping" and then to the holder/balloon category.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Balloons and Holders

Hello everyone and welcome to the Eureka! Stamps Blog Hop.
Today we are sharing some of the fabulous balloon and holder stamps that Eureka!  has available.

If you have come from Dawn's blog you are on the right path.
I'm sure she has a wonderful project to share with you.
If you have just happened onto the hop, you should probably start at the beginning.
Hop on over the beginning at the Eureka! Stamps Blog.
If you get lost along the way or a link doesn't work, you can hop right back there where all the participating blogs are listed.

Now on with my projects.
I am having so much fun working with these images and as soon as I saw Noah and all the different animals, I knew I wanted to create with them.
I need to apologize as this project isn't quite finished.  It needs to be put into a frame, but I don't have one handy at the moment.
I stamped all the images onto watercolor paper and colored them with watercolor crayons.
The background is also done with watercolor crayons and paper.
The boat is freehanded onto card stock then colored and cut out.
I fussy cut all the pieces and adhered them with foam tape.
I tied a piece of string to each balloon and attached them to Noah's hand so they wouldn't float away.
I love how this turned out.  Hope you do too.
There are many more animals in the Eureka! Balloon and Holder colletion, so if you don't see your favorite, pop into the shop and see what else is there.

My 2nd project is a card done with the Pirate Balloon Holder and the Parrot Balloon.
I used the same techniques for stamping, coloring and cutting as the other project, then made a card with the images.
I used some Cosmo Cricket sticker for the "Ahoy Matey"

All the images I used for these projects are listed below and are available at Eureka! Stamps.  There are lots of fabulous images in the balloon/holder category as well as in the rest of the store, so pop in and see what you might like.

Now leave a comment if you wish and head over to see what fabulous project
Roxie has to show you.  I'm sure it will be worth the trip.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have enjoyed seeing my projects.
Until next time, Happy Crafting!
