Now I haven't been one to do challenges in the past, but a couple weeks ago, I decided that it would be a good for me to do some of the challenges I see on the blogs that I follow. I need to start thinking outside the box and stretch my creativity. Below is the card that I made for Kristina's challenge.
This card didn't start out this way. I started out with a totally different idea and kept changing it and changing it until I finally hit on a design that I really liked.
I cut the flower from an SVG file that I got from Penny Duncan Creations using my SCAL2 program and my Cricut Expressions, then I used foam tape to pop it up.
All the papers that I used were papers that I had in my stash. The "hi" are chip board letters from Heidi Swapp.
I used my brand new Corner Chomper to round the corners to mimic the round cut in the lower corner.
The hardest color for me to incorporate was the gray, but I finally used it as the center of the flower. I know it isn't much, but there aren't any rules saying how much you have to use, just that you have to use those colors. LOL! That little dot brings in the gray.
And guess whose picture had the 2nd most votes? MINE did, and Kristina posted that she will be doing challenges with the top 5 pictures. I'm so excited.

Beautiful card, Kristie! I have many projects that didn't turn out as they started . . . part of the process, I suppose. I'm starting to utilize more challenges, as well . . . definitely makes you stretch your imagination and work outside of your comfort zone, and with sketch challenges, the design is already decided!
Sweet and Simple! How clever you are, my cards are always too complicated!
Clean, simple, and oh-so-sweet! Just the way I like it!!
