To make it easier to read about our trip to Ireland, I have made a page that is just for that. There is a tab above for Ireland Trip 2014 or click on the Home tab to read my other posts. I have also created a new page for My Weight Loss Journey if you are interested in that, click on the tab above.

Glitter

Last night I got on a roll and made 4 cards! Woo hoo! The last several days I hadn't been 'feeling it' if you know what I mean. Serious lack of creativity! I'm posting 2 of the cards I made.
This first card is a 5 1/2" square card. The rose stamp is Bella Rose lg from B Line Designs. I have had this stamp for a while and haven't really used it. I love it, but it is large, too large for a standard sized card. But this card will fit in a large envelope with some extra room on the sides, so it won't cost any extra postage.
I stamped the image with Black Onyx Versafine ink and painted it with my watercolor crayons. I think I'm getting the hang of the shading and what colors to use for the shading and blending.
Once I had it colored, I 'fussy cut' it. Before adhering it to the card with foam tape I wanted to do something with that kraft cardstock. So I used this technique to make the glitter stripes. Once that was done, I drew some dash lines and dots with a white gel pen, put the card together and was done.
I really love how this card turned out.

This second card is an oversized card, measuring 6" x 7" The image is one that I got from Stampin Up! It was a hostess gift and I wanted it so badly, but wasn't willing to have a party, I think it was from a past catalog anyway. I was at my friend Jess' for a party and mentioned it and the demo was kind enough to sell me an extra that she had. I was so thrilled! I love this stamp, sooo pretty!
Again, I used my watercolor crayons and Versafine ink for this image. I wanted to do something a little different so I cut the card front larger and used the same technique for the glitter as I did on the card above. It is a little hard to see the glitter, as it is about the same color as the cardstock. Sorry about that!

Here is a view of the card showing the inside. I used a piece of white cardstock that is smaller than the front, but the same size as the image on the front. I just thought it gave it a little different feel.
I'm really happy with how this one turned out too.
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of these cards.
Thanks for stopping by! Until next time Happy Crafting!

They are both awesome...my fav is the Bella Rose for sure. Had to scroll back...I have missed a bunch that you have done. I am hoping you will demo the wire ribbon flower for me. Wondering when you might pull out your Cuttlebug and show us some of your unique techniques...
You are my Queen of Craft!
