Greetings!
I know I've mentioned my Mom before, but for
those of you who haven't heard about her,
she is quite an amazing woman.
She is 91 yrs old and lives in an assisted living home.
She broke her hip 2 1/2 yrs ago and we had to clean
out her home of 72 years.
One of the things we kept was her stemware.
This year for Christmas she gave her grandchildren
her stemware.
I made tags up for the gift bags that explained that
these were wedding gifts from when she and my Dad were
married in 1945.
2 pieces were wrapped together in each gift bag,
a tag was attached and they were given randomly to the
grandchildren.
I'm sure they will be cherished for years to come.
There were 3 different sizes in the set.
Here is the largest size showing some
of the detail.
This picture shows the detail of the etching
a bit better.
Aren't they beautiful?
Aren't they beautiful?
I know some people will think it's awful to break
up such a beautiful set,
but this way the grandchildren will have something
beautiful from Grandma to cherish.
She was so happy to be able to pass them on
to them.
Glad you took the time to stop,
come again soon!

What beautiful stemware! Makes my heart go putty-pat! How wonderful to be able to pass down such treasures.
