Hello!
I hope you're having a great beginning to 2016!
I'm still working on posting things I made for Christmas gifts.
Today I'm showing you a gift I made for my husband.
It is well known by our family and friends that Dave
absolutely loves our little dog, Molly.
To make a long story short, I will just say that
she was a rescue when his cousin passed away
4 years ago.
Molly is the sweetest little girl ever and is a
Shih Tzu
This is my original picture of Molly.
Using my Silhouette Studio Designer Edition software
I traced her picture and cut it from black vinyl.
What a weeding job that was.
If you are familiar with the process you understand.
If not, weeding is the process where you pick out all the pieces
of vinyl that you don't want in the final product.
You start with a sheet of vinyl, cut it with the
Silhouette and once it's cut you pick out all the waste.
Looking at the picture below, all the white areas were
black when I started.
I hope that makes some sense.
I hope that makes some sense.
I added the wording to make this decal for his van.
I think it turned out looking very much like Molly.
The funny thing is that a friend gave him
a tee shirt that says
"I SHIH TZU NOT!"
on the front.
I'm glad you stopped by today.
I hope you enjoyed this post and
will stop by again soon.
Until then
Happy 2016!
